All I can say is W O W !!! Best muffins and cookies I have ever had, hands down. Lovely people doing a great thing for us all, and it's a family business. Def will be back!
Vegan, gluten free goodness! Cookies, cupcakes, muffins, they are all wonderful. Katie's also has packaged mixes available for cupcakes, pancakes and more!
Katie's Bakery is the only Gluten Free & Vegan Bakery for miles around and is the most amazing place I have ever been! The staff are extremely friendly and are so accommodating to what you want to order. I made an order in advance for carrot cake, chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting, and chocolate cupcakes with meringue frosting and I was more than delighted when I saw my order! Everything was PERFECT! You MUST go here even if you aren't vegan or gluten free because they make the BEST deserts hands down.

Lynn made me her gluten-free vegan mini chocolate cupcakes for my birthday celebration. There were compliments all around. They taste like wheat-based, egg ingredient cupcakes.
And I tried one of her vegan gluten-free banana muffins and gave the other half to some particular eaters and they were astounded. Again, could not tell it was non-wheat flour and without eggs n dairy.

This place is DELICIOUS!!. I grew up with a family owned bakery, so I know sweets. This bakery has the absolute best gluten/dairy free options anywhere. Better than Bristol Farms, better than Whole Foods, and better than anything at Trader Joe's. She mentioned closing her storefront but I considerably hope she either changes her mind or finds another place to sell her baked products because this is the first time I've been able to walk into a bakery (or anyplace for that matter) and purchase a delicious pastry that I could eat. You wouldn't know this stuff was gluten/dairy free either. It's the best. Please support her.
I am gluten and dairy free now for almost 4 years at the direction of my doctor. It's hard to find decent baked goods that I can eat. On a weekender from Nor Cal, we found this gem of a bakery. I feel like I'm a bit of an authority on this topic having found only one other bakery (Buffalo, NY) that COMMANDS the flavors as Katie's does. If you are lucky enough to be in Pasadena, make a point to go to Katie's.
Indescribably delicious! I wandered into Katie’s Bakery with a friend, after a Heart and Sole massage and this was just what the doctor ordered! Everything is either vegan or dairy free and not too sweet (which I love). The owner Lynn gave us free samples and I couldn’t decide so I bought several items. Coffee by Jaguar Forest is excellent. Highly recommend!
For folks who want a sweet bakery treat but have dietary restrictions, Katies Bakery is the place for you. For example, I am gluten free but cannot eat many gluten free products because many contain potato starch. Potato triggers inflammation in my body. It was wonderful to know exactly which products were potato free in this shop. I picked up a oatmeal ginger cookie and a chocolate cupcake. Both were delicious!!!!!!!! Sorry no pictures. They were calling to me, so I ate them.
