The food is pretty good. I was looking to experience PR food, and they did not let me down. We took home some alcapurrias to fry at home to share with the family. Delicious. The restaurant itself could use some updates.. it's a bit of a hole in the wall, but these are the best places to find that authentic food
I have to admit when I pulled up I had my doubts, even when I walked in , BUT the food is sooo good. I had the garlic shrimp Mufongo, if you like garlic it is a must. My husband had the fried pork mufongo , it was great too but he should have ordered black beans with it to have " a sauce" this place is the real deal. . Alot of food for the price. We both had take home boxes.
Spectacular home style eatery...looking for a authentic flavors of the Colombian/ Caribbean..you will enjoy...we ordered the bistec and chicharon. Con arroz and abichuelas this is the place to enjoy😁
Loved the food and very nice waitress. I would definitely come back for mofongo and empanadas.
It smelled like an old bar, maybe it's from the bar next door, so we almost left, we tried to order pastel en hoja, kipes, empanadas, they didn't have any of that, so we tried that acrepa thing, it was good... The food was ok, everything needed more flavor or salt.... Trying the other Dominican restaurant next by 249 North.... Wish this one was better because it's close to me...
I travel for a lot for work and I'm always seeking out a place to eat a bandeja paisa. Well, this place didn't disappoint at all! The arepa con queso was also delicious. Will definitely have to go back if I'm ever in the South Houston area!

The food is just the best! I ordered the mofongo with roast pork and maduros. Everything on my plate was perfection!! This is my third time eating here and I will definitely be back. This time I ate on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm and, although the restaurant was about 80% empty, the to go orders were obviously taking up most of the staffs' time and attention. While we got our order timely, getting the staffs' attention afterwards was impossible and I had to walk up to the counter to make our requests known. Same for the final check. I usually eat here on a Sunday afternoon, around 1pm, and it is packed full inside the restaurant. With only two staff, I excused the slow service. I believe the problem is, they need more staff. Their business is booming, their food is delicious and their prices are reasonable considering the excellent quality. I will come back regardless, but I still hope they are considering hiring at least one more person to work in the restaurant and/or to handle the to go orders. That should bring some relief to the customers and the existing staff.
The food taste fresh delicious and the people are very nice
A Caribbean spot in the hood of south Houston. Not the best decor inside but food is good and made by some Dominicans. I order the mofongo (smashed plantains) with pork and a cola champagne soda.
Great food. The staff didn't speak English but service was great. Muy Bueno la comida.
