If you are a native of the Philly area, then there is only one place to get your hometown favorite cheesesteak. Sliced ribeye, Amoroso rolls, and Wiz (if you go for that sort of thing). Best I have had south of the Mason Dixon line.
In Florida for a week went to the place South Philly steaks was delicious got the chicken barbecue chicken was great you go you got to go if you in Orlando the food was great and the service was tremendous
What's better than a taste of Philly in Orlando? Food was awesome and good menu variety. Meals come with drinks and a fries. Staff is friendly and awesome to talk with. Stop by and give it a try.
Perfect Philly. Growing up in Allentown, I remember taking trips to the city (Philly) about once a month and every time we would get Philly cheese steaks for lunch. Even the school cafeteria cheese steaks were better than any restaurant here until now. This place is awesome, they don't skimp on the meat and the perfect amount of onions and cheese. I will agree with another review about the bread, it make a world of difference, is not that hard dry bread most places use, is fresh with a perfect crust and spongy inside, perfect for soaking up the juices from the steak (Ribeye as it should be). Try with Wiz, even if you don't like Cheese Wiz (which I normally do), it's great on a steak sub. I'm glad we have a place that reminds me of home and hope they succeed.
DELICIOUS!! **Authentic** Philly Cheesesteaks... The right BREAD, (which, yes, does make a difference), the right meat and CHEEZ WHIZ!! Guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful.
The sandwiches definitely live up to the name! Probably the best Philly cheesesteaks in the area. I've eaten at the famous Jim's Steaks in Philadelphia, and these steaks are every bit as good. The dining area is small and the fountain drink selections are skimpy, but overall its definitely a place to go when you're in the mood for a steak sub.
EDIT: Sadly, this business shut down almost a year ago. :-(
I like this place and the guys that work here are cool. I come here every now and then, my only complaint would be that they put the cheese on the bottom of their philly steaks as opposed to the top. To me, it's so much better on the top since on the bottom it makes the bread soggier and doesn't melt over the meat. But still, a good philly place in Orlando for a decent price.
Honestly, I have NO idea why I'm seeing bad reviews. My order has NEVER been wrong, taken a long time, or received poor customer service. I do not personally know the owner, other than from the store. I've probably eaten here 10 times in the past year-year and a half. Also, I just got back from Philadelphia visiting a friend, where i shamefully had 4 philly's, and STILL think this place does it better. I tried Pat's, Geno's, Steve's, and Jim's on south st. Don't second guess this place, its great and authentic. The owner is from Philly, which after my review doesn't mean much, but Philly lost their best cheesesteak when he left...
I took my friends here a while back that were Philly natives and they loved it. Just went back in today and got the Miami Heat. One of the best sandwiches I've had and talked it up with the dude working there. Great food. Great People. Great business.
Good lunch place. They have a few options besides a Philly cheese steak but seriously if you're not ordering that you probably shouldn't be going to a place called South Philly Steaks. Best Philly in the area for sure and the lunch combo is priced under 10 bucks so it's in line with other lunch options in the area.
Had an amazing time here, love that authentic Philly taste! Glad to see they're added more items to the menu, love those jalapeno poppers! Sexy steak is by far my favorite sandwich
TONYYYYYYYYYY is the MAN! Not only can this man cook but I left my wallet and he held it for 2 weeks till I came back and had all my cash in it. I come in here very often especially when Tony is working because this place is BOMB!!! Glad they recognize me and respect their customers. Never going anywhere else for philly cheese steak. Get the SEXY steak!
Best steaks in UCF area hands down!! I eat here at least once a week and never had a bad experience. Classic or the sexy, cant go wrong. Havent tried anything else on the menu but havent needed to.
By far the best Philly in the UCF area. I get a foot-long Classic Philly with fries and a drink for 11$ and it fills me up no prob. Be advised, they're very cheesy and very greasy, just how I like 'em.
Deee-licious, I must say. I love cheesesteaks. KC does excellent BBQ, but sadly they lack in the Cheesesteak department. The thin slices are awesome, and there signature "sexy sauce" is a phenomenal tasting blend of 3 cheeses they put on. I'll probably end up trying everything on the menu lol.
