I ordered the fish sandwich value meal and I basically got an entire fish fry on a bunch, and it was delicious. They still have out the buckets of free pickles just like they did when I was a kid. The place isn't much to look at, but don't judge this book by its cover.
I’ve only had one experience here but it was a good one. Service was very fast and friendly. The garbage plate came with a drink which was nice. It was missing bread which was a big bummer as to me that’s a big part of the experience. Meet was moist and soft. Fries were crispy and crunchy. Mac salad had a great texture. Overall it was a really great experience and I’ll be back for more!
Charlie Riedel's Fast food reminds me of an old Arby's that's been turned into a family run fast food like restaurant. The facility is just like any normal fast food establishment but there's no drive thru and the focus is mainly on popular local comfort foods like Zweigle hot dogs, hamburgers and fries and big garbage plates. The food is good but the prices are a bit high but still affordable. The dining area is large with plenty of tables and booths for families to sit in. They have drink stations with Pepsi products and also a cappuccino machine. They like to hire kids still in high school so there seems to be employment opportunities for younger people available from time to time. I enjoyed our meal and my dining experience was good but there's nothing compelling me to come back for a second trip. I'm not trying to bad mouth a business but my dining experience was lackluster at best. 4 stars regardless.
Food was great perfect French fries and onion rings, had the Charlie cheeseburger comes with lettuce tomatoe mayonnaise & provolone cheese was very tasteful & delicious
It's a dinner, but the food was outstanding. Did not like that the syrup was low for multiple drinks but they made up for it by giving my wife a bottled soda. Which made this place, stay a 5 in my mind
Food appeared to be old and reheated. Asked for fries well-done and they were stale not fresh tasting or cooked earlier and reheated. Burgers were over the char as requested but we're dried out and burnt as if they had been cooked earlier then just tossed over the char! Sometimes the food is great but it is starting to loose appeal once again. Only thing fresh and good was the shakes
Charlie's is easily the best of the "big three" in the area (Charlie's, Bill Gray's and Tom Wahl's). This location is a great combination of lots of seating, affordability, good quality burgers and exceptional service. We've never had a bad experience here, and I doubt we will.
Beat places to get wing dings. Ordered beer battered fish with French fries and Cole slaw. Will order again. Everything was great. Also enjoyed the complementary pickles. Very unique flavor.
Limited menu , greasy spoon burger joint. Food is good, service is good. Sadly nothing special about Charlie's, but they're still a decent place to go.
Clean place, lots of space. We went on a day and time we were literally the only people in there. The kids that work there seem to do a good job. Food was what was expected and the prices are pretty much in line.
