I just fell in love with this place because of their milkshake! It’s huge, colourful, messy, tempting and great in taste. Definitely instagramable. We also tried hamburger their and it was also delicious. They have outer patio seating area which is very nice for summer. They provide the first chips for free.
Our work team went here for a Birthday lunch and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it!
Our server was very helpful in describing the South American dishes, including showing us examples on her tablet. I had the arroz chaufa with shrimp, steak and chicken and it was tasty!
We also got to try their newest desert brownie/ice cream creation. It was great.
We'll be back!
Great service from the moment we walked in the door. The hostess and servers were friendly and attentive. We were in the neighborhood and wanted to try something different the milkshakes and burgers look amazing although we did not get either on this trip. I was looking for something a little bit lighter so I got the avocado salad and it was absolutely perfect the house dressing with the avocado and the beans created creamy tangy experience. My wife - The pulled pork was wonderful. It was seasoned well, juicy, and absolutely delightful! We are both looking Forward to coming back and trying some more flavors!
Drove a ways to try and find some good Latin food in town. This place has all the staple dishes. The fried rice tasted a bit off and the arepas were kind of dry and stiff but everything else was delicious!

We ordered the Todo o nada (aka: appetizer sampler) and the parrilla mixta. I asked if it came with plantains and they said yes even though on the menu it's only on the xl one.
All the food was fine aside from the corn meal Masa that was so hard we couldn't cut through it or chew through it. We let the server know and they did bring us a fresh one that was fine. The middle was flavorless, but the end pieces had a lot of stuff.
Noteworthy items were the queso fingers. That was the first thing I ate, so my expectations were higher from that. Turned out that was the highlight to my meal. The avocado served on the side is salted (good thing), their pico de Gallo is great and their sauces that come with the meal, the avocado and the Salvadoran mayo are also great.
Their meat was average to good. I didn't have a complaint aside from expecting more... Flavor? The chorizo had it but it wasn't so unique that I felt I would need to go back for more.
Service was firmly in the ok. She corrected the issue when we asked. She just was not very enthusiastic about her job or the food which can affect perception.
The food makes beautiful pictures. I'd try this place again, hoping that maybe I ordered the wrong things? It's not that the meat platter is bad, but it's just rather ordinary. If you add the sauce that really does help a lot, but I think I would have wanted one more different kind of sauce to go with it.
If you haven't eaten here yet, you're missing out! The flavors are unmatched with so many different and unique combinations. I highly recommend the Bandeja Paisa for your first trip to get a taste of everything the Hunger Block offers. 🔥 Wonderful service & great vibes. Bonus: order the Cuba Libre cocktail!
Let’s just start with complimentary chips and fresh salsa. Fun environment and interesting menu options. There really isn’t anything else like it in the are. Although I believe Benson, Blackstone or Downtown is a better location for this type of restaurant, it works. Order the milkshake, you’ll be glad you did. Drawbacks? The choice of country music didn’t work with the vibe. Quality of food and pricing is on point.
Staff was all polite, especially our server (CJ I think was their name?) Food was also very good. We go here every year for my birthday and Hunger Block never disappoints!!
We had a very good time here.
We celebrated our friends birthday in the restaurant we were allowed to get balloons and cake, thanks to staff.
Looked like a busy place when we were there.
Would definitely recommend for dinner to hangout evening with friends.

Ok, first of all. The service was absolutely amazing. Greeted with happy workers..Chips, salsa and water all within 15 seconds of sitting down.
The food was incredible. I had a double hamburger (crushed potato chips, coleslaw, fried egg...) I also ordered the Latin Nachos knowing I couldn't eat it all but wanted to taste everything ok the menu.
My wife had the Papita.. possibly spelled that wrong. She loved it. What originally brought us to this restaurant was their shakes which my wife enjoyed very much lol.
To top it off, the owner came over to ask how our meal was once while eating and once before the bill came. I knew he was trying to make sure we were fully satisfied and to show appreciation for us coming in. This kind of service is top notch and far too uncommon these days so was very refreshing.
Oh by the way, did I mention we arrived at 8:17pm when the close at 8:30? They didn't make us feel uncomfortable at all and wanted us to stay even though we offered to leave since we didn't know they were close to closing.
I'm not from Omaha but I will stop in to try something different on the menu every time I'm passing through.
