Looked up a place for tacos late night in the area and this place came up. Why not, taco restaurants with funny names are usually good spots. Tell you what, the beef cheek tacos al vapor are awsome. Best style of tacos I have had in Omaha. New place kind of hidden. Good price on the food. I'm a big guy and can tear up 6 tacos with out a burp.. 6 of his tacos is like eating 10. This will be my go to place when ever I'm in town.
Generously stuffed tacos....lots of meat. Sooo good. 2nd time here during my stay in Omaha. Sad to see so many empty seats inside....this place is not presumptuous from the outside, but their food exceeds their appearance. Well worth the stop. Friendly service too.
Go here. Order all the tacos.
Wonderful authentic Mexican food! The owner/manager is extra friendly. They have some of the best Mexican rice I've ever had. On weekends they also serve American breakfast. Definitely give this place a try
I like the traditional style food. The atmosphere is very casual dining. You order at the door and seat yourself. Very simple menu choice yet enough variety. This isn't a American-Mexican style menu, it's served authenticly.
Noticed this place a while back, as I live in the area it's located. Finally decided to stop in on Sunday, March 19th, to see what it was like. Boy am I impressed! The first day I went I got one of their massive burritos, a fish taco, and a side of beans and rice, all for under or right around $15. The burrito was big enough to last me a couple of days! Went back in on Tuesday to try another burrito and taco with different meats, still very good. Food quality is great, you can definitely tell it's made in house. The owners are really nice and they hold good conversation. Abelardo's was my go to place, but they are quite pricey. Taqueria Chango is fairly priced and is just as, if not more, delicious than Abelardo's.
I am a Los Angeles native, so it means I know what good authentic Mexican food should be. I moved up to Omaha Nebraska recently and was appalled by the line of food that most restaurants in Omaha called Mexican food. Most places dumbed the food down to appeal to American tastes - not this place - they keep it authentic, and they have 2 locations. If you've suffered at the hands of fake Mexican food in Omaha Nebraska, or if you want to know what the real stuff tastes like, come here and you'll find out that the real outweighs the fake!
Best tacos in west Omaha!! They have a good salsa bar with lots of stuff to choose from and the meat is really good. Good size tacos, too.
First time trying this place and we loved it. The homemade hot sauces and grilled jalapeno were amazing as was the food. The staff was friendly and funny. Totally going back again.
This place is awesome. The tacos are huge and delicious and the salsa/toppings bar is fresh and a very nice addition. Can't beat $2 tacos
