Jeff is the greatest waiter! Very attentive,positive and pleasant.It's back to being one of my favorite places due to his service!

This place appeared to be a bit cleaner inside and out compared to other Village Inn restaurants I've gone to.
The waitress was amazing! She was helpful, fun, we had everything we needed and we didn't have to ask for anything.
I left al little Christmas gift for her because she was such a joy
I'd suggest making the entry instead and out a little cleaner for guests. Pick up trash, debris etc right away.
It's Thanksgiving time and they didn't have any pies on display. That isn't good for sales. I was. Looking for the pies since I couldn't see all the tasty flavors up front. Didn't buy one.
Maybe I wouldn't have but maybe I would if they had been able to view and temp.
This is definitely one of my favorite places! The customer service is amazing and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are home with the family. John’s customer service is amazing! He always assists me with my takeout orders and ensures that everything is good to go.
One thing I miss about the Midwest, Village Inn, especially around the holidays with all the pies! We were lucky to get a table on Thanksgiving morning while visiting and had a great server, and the food was spot on. Kids crushed some calories and we enjoyed a present visit. Hoping to see more and more Village Inns in the future.
I ordered while my friend drove there it was ready and hot. The individual ringing me out kindly explained that free pie didn't apply to take out orders. I promptly said that's ok I'll purchase one slice of pumpkin pie (the main reason we chose to order) my client was craving pie from village inn after his long stay in the hospital. And he said "it's on us today" how sweet and kind

Our server was awesome, food was hot and delicious. I'm so happy with our experience here. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy with eggs. I'll definitely be back soon.
We just celebrated my grandma's 96th birthday at VI last night. There was a group of 10 and our server Patty was so quick and helpful. We brought a cake for the birthday girl and Patty offered to refrigerate it until we were ready. Food was ordered and served quickly. Everyone was pleased with their choice of meal. Patty even helped us take a group photo. We'll definitely be back because it's grandma's favorite place to eat!
Better than IHop. Need I say more? Probably not, but I will.
The service was excellent. We visited around 9 am. There was no wait. We were seated quickly, and the food came out quickly. We could see they had plenty of staff and weren't ignoring their customers. Our waitress, Shelly, was very kind and helpful in answering our questions and did so honestly. She even informed us that kids eat free on Mondays.
The food was cooked perfectly and was filling. My hubby got the ultimate breakfast ( I think that's what it's called). It came with a big piece of ham, and I mean THICK. This man normally eats what I don't, and he was full after.
It's a great spot for all-day breakfast!
My husband fell going in to the restroom (no fault of Village Inn) and I was so impressed and grateful for the immediate care by the entire staff. They definitely went above and beyond. The food was excellent and our waitress was awesome! Definitely our favorite Village Inn
DO NOT do a remodel at this location! I hate the black and white theme of the new restaurants. Worse is they charge higher prices at the place that was remodeled, we went to 107th and M Street. And the seats were very uncomfortable,,the backs are straight up and down. Not good. Do NOT make those changes to 54th and L Street store! Please.
Good food. Tried the peach pie today which was good. It was pie Wednesday so you get pie for free with your meal entree.
Learned that you can get a Southwest side salad wth your meal. I'd recommend that.
I'm finding I do like their decaf coffee.
