This is everything I look for in a coffee house. Never empty, never raucous, and with a charming array of mismatched tables and chairs in a funky multilevel interior. Great food, and a beautiful patio are a plus, but the real selling point is the late hours.
What a coffee house should be. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, and I don't need to leave home with an Apple laptop in tow in order to do my work or link to the Internet. Finally, I'm not a Gen X or Y'er. Yet I appreciate Caffeine Dreams, which is a magnate for younger coffee and tea drinkers. Customers have a nice selection of coffees, teas and other specialty drinks, plus pastries and sandwiches. The atmosphere is urban cool, with a multi-level interior and comfortable landscaped patio, which sometimes features live music. The mid-town location, adjacent to the Nebraska Medical Center, makes this a very popular meeting space.
Great coffee and the food is good too. It's a nice atmosphere, if a bit hipster. My real complaint is the lack of space. It's frustrating to drive here to try and get some work done, only to find out the place is packed. I know this means it's a popular place, which is good, but it's still very frustrating because it happens a lot. The worst part is that you can't see the seating from the counter, so you don't always realize there will be no place to sit until after you've ordered. Order to go cups just in case!
I Might Not Be Hipster Enough For The Place, But I Like It. This is a great place to go and just sit with some coffee and enjoy a book or do some work. The espresso is the strongest I've ever had and keeps me going for hours. I love that about the place. The music is great, and as long as you wear something nerdy, you won't get dirty looks from the patrons or the staff.
We always find the best and freshest pastries here. The drinks are hot and the service is warm. The eclectic vibe is great for this corner coffee joint.

This place is nice. there are board games to play, and they have other activities as well. i've tried to go there and just chill, but the younger crowd is too noisy and chatty for my liking. the coffee is good, but can sometimes taste a little over-done. all in all, a good place to take a friend or two to chill out.
We came on a Sunday morning and had a wonderful experience. My partner had the pecan pie latte and I had the eggnog latte and both were exceptional. The caprese toast was also top notch. 10/10 would recommend!
We had a very pleasant first experience with this coffee shop. Staff was welcoming and the ambiance was neat. I tried the classic a avocado toast which was delicious and a hot vanilla latte. Great coffee and a place to relax
We go here every weekend. I love the toast, the (handmade) pop tarts, and their brewed coffee. They also have seasonal drinks (including a whole list for CWS).
The standing room is limited, so if you come during really busy hours, you might find yourself a little squished. Generally, if you get brewed coffee, it's faster than getting a specialty, BUT they're not slow by any means, especially considering the traffic they get.
Plus, the side is that there's no drive thru, so you usually always know where you are in line by the orders being called.
They have recycling and two bins to put your dishes in (one in the main cafe area and one in the back cafe area).
Bathrooms require a passcode, and there are two (one in the hall by the register and one in the backroom).
Ideally, this is a cozy first date spot or spot for you to catch up with friends.
It's also right next to one of the bus stops, so if you use the bus route from uptown, then you can get dropped off right here.
Great variety of drinks! Choices of toast and toppings are delicious. Only downfall is a little pricey and noisy. Not a place I would go weekly but take out of town company.
Love Zen coffee! They have a fun variety of regular menu drinks, seasonal drinks, and plenty of snacks! I love the pesto avocado toast. They also have shirts, stickers, and other gift items.
Amazing find in downtown Omaha. Local sourced coffee with extensive espresso, tea, and coffee options. The pour over was great and they had multiple options to choose from. Very friendly staff and a quiet work space off the main entryway
Really neat place: tons of things to try and anesthetically pleasing dishes, good place for random dates or get togethers. The monkey bread muffin was awesome, the toasts were a bit pricy for my taste but also good.
Life Aquatic and the Monkey bread drinks were excellent, definitely recommend those.
Their matcha is good! But personally I am a person who loves strong matcha. I think their matcha would be a good choice, if you haven't tried matcha before.:) I wanna try golden matcha but they dont have that anymore🥲
The service here was phenomenal. I'm visiting from vegas on business & LOVE coffee. They have such a cute & diverse menu. Aside from coffee flights they have flights of TOAST! Amazing ! The atmosphere is super chill & friendly . The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that they didn't tell me that if I "check in" on Yelp, I'll receive 20% off my order. Zenz Coffee Shop is a hidden gem in Omaha, Nebraska that's worth visiting just for their amazing lavender latte. From the first sip, the latte's unique floral flavor immediately stood out and lingered on my taste buds. The latte was also topped with a beautiful latte art, which made for a great Instagram photo opportunity.
Aside from the amazing lavender latte, Zenz Coffee Shop has a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The shop is decorated with charming and eclectic pieces, including antique coffee grinders and vintage signs, which added to the overall ambiance. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, making my visit a truly enjoyable experience.
If you're a coffee lover looking for a one-of-a-kind experience, Zenz Coffee Shop is definitely worth a visit. Their lavender latte is a must-try and I will definitely be returning for more.
