Noon Saturday lunch. Not busy.
Best crab rangoon in ages. Spring rolls a hit. Mango fried rice ok, pork average, meats don't seem to matter with stir fry dishes. Pad Thai very yummy, 3 heat & 6 hot ok for old folks.
Hot tea tepid but good. Thai iced tea excellent.
Prices average.
Great staff, clean place. Nice redo of McKenna's.
Will return happily
We had Panang curry, masaman curry and drunken noodles. The seasonings were very nice. Each dish had it's distinct flavors. We got level 5\10 for heat and it was just to our liking. Enough heat without overwhelming the flavors.
I was taken here by my Daughter that had eaten here before. The food was very good, and the value was spit on for everything but one appetizer we ordered. I would give the over all food 5 stars, but I must only give the over all experience only a 4 star. The server was very inattentive and almost acted like he didn't want to be there. I will go back another time and give them a second chance. At Over $20 a person, plus tip, I'd like to feel welcomed and be engaged a bit.
The food is great. This is one of three locations I believe they have across Omaha. Nice food across all locations. I would definitely recommend anyone looking to try some Thai food. They allow you to select how hot you want your spice which is nice for people who aren’t great with spicy food.
I typically love Salween, but this one has a unique flavor profile and I prefer the NW radial location. Not as spicy as other locations. Pretty empty inside.
Yesterday was my first time trying Salween Thai. I placed a to-go order over the phone at 11:10am, since their online ordering was not functioning, and I was told it'd be about 20 minutes for my food. The food was ready when they said it would be, and I was the only customer in the store at that time. I got the steamed dumplings and pad thai with chicken at spice level four. I was pleasantly surprised to receive 6 dumplings for my appetizer! As for the pad thai, their website advises that due to the nature of their food, drop down a spice level or so from what you're used to. I didn't do that & I don't regret it! The only note on that main dish is that the spice felt more forward than the peanut taste at times. However, I will be back and try dining in.
First visit with some friends. Food was absolutely delicious! Open air, spacious dining area. Fair pricing as well. Definitely recommend!
My wife and I eat at a lot of Thai restaurants. I have tried the Pad Thai at them all. Saleen Thai Restaurant has some of the best Pad Thai I've eaten, anywhere. My wife had the Kana Mu Crob, which was unbelievably flavorful! The waitress was polite, and responsive without being intrusive. This is definitely a must for Thai lover's!
I really enjoyed the Kapao preserved Duck eggs, first picture. The services was efficient and informed. I would have liked to have a glass of wine with dinner but, overall I was very happy with my experience. Coconut chicken noodle soup and Tom Yum Pla (fish) soup. Appetizers were Fresh spring rolls and steamed dumplings.
I love this place so much! The food is delicious and the service is great! I highly recommend the Pad Thai Soon Wen with Tofu. Best pad thai in town! Not to mention, pricing is great. I'm lucky if I can go out with my fiance and spend less than $50- it was around $40 after tip and that is with an appetizer! Great deal!
