This location had a really cool walk up to the door. The prep sushi maker was really friendly. He makes excellent quality plates with high end looks for lower price. If your in Omaha in the old market by the slides check it out.
Best sushi in town (Omaha, NE). Our family enjoys eating sushi at this restaurant. The owners and servers are so polite and courteous. Most of the time we love ordering bento and sashimi deluxe.
Wonderful food, never disappointed. Matsu's attention to quality is evident in every bite. Their large selection ensues that there is a dish for everyone.
First time here. Despite the rain, I was not disappointed! The Ginger Beef is really good. Nice sized portion. We also had several sushi rolls. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Good prices. Lots of options. There’s a nice seating area outside. I was hoping to the patio seating… unfortunately it started raining outside right as our food came out! The owners let us take shelter and saved our meals. It was quite the experience. They gave us an order of peach crunch on the house. Yum! It was very generous and kind of them. Thank you. Im definitely going back.
I was on a business trip and headed to the airport but wanted a quick bite to eat first. I saw this place pop up on my gps and thought sushi sounded delicious. Let me tell you I was not disappointed at all!!! This restaurant has DELICIOUS FRESH SUSHI and the man and woman that were running the restaurant were very kind and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone in the Omaha area. I’m so sad that I won’t get to frequent it more often since I am from out of town. 10/10 recommend!
Yummy sushi and great service! I loved their hot and sour soup as well as their captain's special roll!
This is a small business ran by a lovely couple and a small handful of staff. This restaurant has been my absolute favorite in Omaha for over 10 years now. If you aren’t coming in with completely unrealistic expectations of a team of four or five people, you’ll be happy you tried it.
I always get the spicy crunchy salmon and when I eat at other sushi places (out of town or when matsu is closed), I wish I was at Matsu instead.
Staff was friendly and the food was excellent. My dissatisfaction come from their unlimited sushi lunch option. It requires you to eat everything you order or you pay full roll price. I am not a thrill seeker when it comes to food, but I do like to try new things. All you can eat is normally a great situation to try new things. But if you don't like it you get screwed and have to pay full price for the roll. It's not a very encouraging policy, but I do see why they would put it in place. They do not make it a secret and are upfront about it as well making sure you understand when ordering. Also, if you are in a large group, they only give your table one sheet to order from and all your sushi comes out on shared plates. It makes it very hard to keep track of what was who's and what was what on the plates.
Quiet place, private. Excellent service. Easy menu to navigate. Delicious, classic and unique sushi - raw, cooked and veggie varieties. Beautiful presentation. Good place to go alone or with a group. Prices are moderate. If you love sushi, you won't be disappointed. There is also a menu of hot meals. We didn't try it but saw others order delicious looking bowls of food.
Friendly, attentive staff combines with a diverse menu with an abundant selection of rolls to choose from. Great experience for a price you can live with!! Very tasty, fresh sushi rolls in a tranquil atmosphere and in a clean environment. Come here if you want to have a definite above average sushi oasis amidst any downtown Omaha, NE excursion!
