We stopped for a light dinner and realized what a gem this place is. Best falafel I've ever had. And the babaganoush was delish! Just wish there was a little bit more, the serving was only about 4 tablespoons. Quality food, great service, great atmosphere. Will be back and will recommend!
Great food and wonderful service. Ahmad took the time to tell me all about his food and his restaurant. His passion for food is evident in every bite. This place is a gem. I had the chicken and pork Persian split, and I'll definitely be back to try something else as well.
In Omaha for work, so we don't know the area. Stopped in here on a whim. we were actually half an hour before it was set to open, but the man came and brought us in anyway. He was very hospitable and made us feel super welcome. He was happy to learn that we hadn't tried persian before, and recommended a different dish for each of us. All three meals were really good.
Wonderful food & Atmosphere. Ahmads's is an intimate cozy dining experience. Ahmad, the owner and chef was warm and friendly! The food was fantastic ! We all tried different dishes and enjoyed all of them. It's the best Persian food I have had to date anywhere! I will definitely come back when in Omaha.

I've been coming to ahmads since high school. I love this restaurant so much. If your go you need to try the hummus, tehran chicken, and the Persian tea!! Those are my favorite things to get here. If you like to eat outside, the patio is very lively because this is where the heart of the old market is. The absolute best part is Ahmad himself. He's always friendly!
Consistintly Good Food. Love Ahmad's! Being going here for years and I have never had a bad experience. Food is pricey and can take awhile to get to your table, so plan ahead. Great place to spend an evening. Last time here my boyfriend and I received soup "Compliments of Ahmad" which really brightening up our evening! Also I definitely recommend finishing off your meal with the Turkish coffee.
Perfect Signature Meals. A friend and I visited this establishment during a Sunday evening. The place was empty and at first discouraged us from wanting to commit to dining there--but we trusted our gut and are thankful for it.
The meals are difficult to describe without sounding silly. The food is spicy but not in the conventional way. I mean they are full of unique spices that truly enhance the joys in eating delicious meats (lamb, pork, chicken, and shrimp). The saffron smothered rice was amazing as well. We now consider this place to be one of our top picks because of how unique the food was. We hope to find time to visit their location again--soon! There were so many meals to choose from. We highly recommend it to anyone that wants to be adventerous and stray away from a typical meal.

AUTHENTIC AND DELICIOUS!. I'm Persian and I loved this food. Just like my parents make at home!! My favorites that I have tried are the shrimp kabob and gormeh sabzi... it's a very authentic persian dish but flavorful and healthy, and Ahmad makes it best!! Only better than the food are the outstanding servers and the owner himself- the most warm and hospitable man who has been running this restaurant by himself for twenty years! If you are in the mood for something different and very tasty.. Ahmad's is where it's at!

Great visit. I have eaten here more than 10 times and it never disappoints. The Lamb kabob is awesome and something I crave, and the crock of chicken is to die for. This is a staple of downtown that not very many people know about but they should. They have a Persian hot tea that tastes awesome, it seems to have a hint of honey and it sort of sweet that everyone should try.
On a scale of 1-5 I would give it a solid 6

Great tasting Persian food in Omaha. Great ambience and beautiful setup. The paintings in the restaurant added to the overall setup. The owner is an amazing guy. Definitely a spot to bring your date to.
My wife and I tried Ahmad's for the first time this evening and had a lovely time. The music was the perfect volume, the restaurant was well-kept, the service was friendly, and the food (falafel, fesenjan, and kabab koobideh) was to die for! We'll have to bring friends for a double date!
This small restaurant has a cozy ambience with big picture windows. The inside is lovely as its walls adorn some beautiful paintings. Our server was very helpful and courteous. The food was delicious. We will be back to try other entrees.

My boyfriend and I wanted to try a new place and we were so excited to get some takeout for a movie night. But after telling Ahmad that it was our first time trying persian food, he insisted that we come by and eat the food hot and made to order right there.
What a wonderful experience getting to try new flavors on a gloomy day. Ahmad’s love is felt with every bite. We were in such wonderful hands. Can’t wait to come back with more family. Tell your friends, your co-workers, everyone! Gems like these deserve to thrive and be protected in our community.
Ahmad's is absolutely amazing! Food is always delicious and the service is incredible. Ahmad truly loves what he does and it is reflected in the food and his service. My family grew up coming here, however they moved away a few years back. This is the only restaurant that we ALWAYS go to when the family visits and Ahmad always remembers us and makes a point to come over and chat with us. If you're looking for a locally owned, authentic Persian restaurant with the best owners, this is your place!

I had my first experience at Ahmad's tonight and it exceeded my expectations. The food was very flavorful and delicious, the atmosphere was colorful and unique, and the service was great and personable. Dundee is so lucky to have this spot now! Can't wait to go back.
A must visit restaurant in Omaha, Ahmad’s is a gem. Come for the delicious food like the 12 spiced Tehran chicken that, as advertised, will melt in you mouth and stay to meet Ahmad himself who will sometimes serve and prepare the food. Super nice guy creating a fun and memorable dining experience.

Ok hands down Ahmad may be one of the kindest and most sincere people I have ever met. The restaurant was colorful and tastefully decorated. I met Ahmad before going to his restaurant. He greeted me by name! He suggested a nice table to sit at. Quick with water and menu. He chose my first meal for me. I am completely ok with that. Beef Kabob, perfectly cooked white rice, flame grilled tomatoes, nice light 🥗 salad and some 🍌 banana slices. Everything was 😋 delicious!
Last things last - I abhor hot tea. Whatever was in that cuppa was delicious!!!
Ahmad is extremely personable and conversational. I enjoyed every bit of this establishment. Ahmad if you see this: Thank you my new found friend.

So its been a couple weeks. I decided to have my birthday dinner here. This time I had the Tehran Chicken. Once again very good. My family all tried something different. Not one complaint. We asked Ahmad to join us for dessert 🍨. He surprised me with chocolate cake with chocolate syrup drizzled over and topped with grapes. Soooooo good. I love chocolate cake. How did he know? Great minds think alike. We all enjoyed his company, hospitality, and conversation.
What a yummy meal. Falafel came topped with their lemony hummus. We accepted two recommendations: beef and lamb, and a chicken dish. Covered in twelve spice blend. Slightly spicy. Great friendly service including a visit from chef who showed us the best way to enjoy his food. Very accessible to people who’ve not had much Persian or other middle eastern foods.
