I have been here twice and neither time was particularly impressed, but curious enough that I will try it again. The Short Ribs are very good. The Chicken Confit is okay. They have a nice assortment of imported beers of which I indulged one Blue Chimay, which provided enough buzz that I was thankful I had a 4 block walk to burn it off. The wait staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. The maitr'd does not offer a pleasant greeting and seemed annoyed that I was disturbing him when I came in.
Dario is the real deal! I have I eaten in brassaries in Chicago, Boston, New York, and Paris. This is authentic! I began my meal with the escargot which were perfectly cooked and the butter sauce was incredible. Soak that up with your bread and you have heaven. I next ordered the veal chick schnitzel. I have never had veal cheek, so this was new for me. It did not disappoint. Tender, succulent, and perfectly cooked, seasoned with just the right hand. It was incredible. And for dessert, I had the perfect chocolate mousse. I will be back.
My husband and I ate here for our one year wedding anniversary and it was amazing!! Probably our new favorite restaurant in Omaha. They added little touches to the table such as flowers and wrote happy anniversary on our beverage napkins. My husband had the short ribs and I had the coq a la biere (highly recommended)...both were great! We also had the special heirloom tomato appetizer.. My husband isn't a huge tomato lover and found it surprisingly delicious!
Had a great experience! Wonderful food (try the moules!) and polite, attentive service. A great atmosphere for anything from a first date to a weekday treat.
Great Food overpriced wine. Our dinning experience was great, the food was awesome but the wine was pricey, you can buy a good bottle of Beaujolais nouveau for under $20.00 a bottle, at $12.00 a glass that is a bit much. Enjoy the food and pace yourself on the wine, our bar tab was almost more than the food we each had a 2 glasses of wine. Seems to be a trend lately at restaurants to over charge for a cheep wine.
Excellent Time & Meal. I am glad that I was invited to visit this restaurant. The building itself is small compared to others in the area but the owner did a great job laying out the tables to fit quite a few people. Went on a Saturday night and it was packed but we had made reservations--highly recommended.
Sat down and was promptly helped with drinks and appetizers. I chose to get escargot for the table. It was pure guilt. I just wish that its original setting came with more bread. I had to ask for it but it was not a big problem. The bread w/ the supplied escargot garlic-butter is amazing!
I don't remember which mussel dish I had ordered. I can't find it in their online menu. All I remember is that it was cooked in a beer type broth. It was flawless. For the quantity of mussels I received for the price, I felt like I was stealing because it was a large amount. I was thankful. Their fries and sauce combo went really well with the overall meal. I would have gotten it again but they don't serve it anymore. Their updated menu has some good offering I must try.
I now have to check them out for their brunch menu which is calling my name. This is a must visit for Dundee residents. My only complaint is the parking situation at night in this part of town is horrible. Had to make about four laps around that part of the city before we could find parking.
Outstanding!. Loved every aspect of this place! Food great! Service great! Beer menu great! Very impressed!
One of our favorites. Never disappointing. This is our "go-to date night" restaurant." Love.
Perfect. Went with my wife for a nice Friday night dinner. Waitress was amazing, very knowledgable on the cuisine and recommended the perfect drink pairing. Serving size was on the smaller end of the scale but the taste more than compensated. Perhaps the best tasting dish I've had in Omaha ever!
This might be my favorite place to eat in Omaha. The restaurant seats about 50 people, and the menu is limited to about 15 main courses, but each one is carefully prepared and tastes wonderful. My wife went with the short ribs and I had the cheeseburger. I know...that's not very elegant, but it was the best burger I've ever had. Gruyere, caramelized onions...come on. The Belgian beer selection is endless. The servers are knowledgable and attentive. Just a great experience!
Excellent visit for date night. Both meals were amazing, she ordered short ribs and I had the burger. I'm not normally a "order a burger at a nice restaurant" type of guy but had to try it based off other reviews. I can definitely say I'm happy with my choice. She raved about the short ribs and after sampling them, I would have been every bit as happy ordering them for myself. Will definitely be going back!
My friend rented the private room which has a garage door to the outside which allows for a lot of natural light. Minimum spend to rent this is 500.
My first trip to darios was unsuccessful as they were understaffed and closed seating early.
This visit made up for it with delicious food and amazing dedicated service.
All the entrees we had were great. It was hard deciding which I preferred between the shrimp spaetzle, short rib and the duck ragout.
Out of the desserts it was easy though. My friend had ordered one of each and the clear winner was the creme brulee. The others were 4 stars, but the creme brulee was the 5
The appetizers were all good as well, though the escargot I might have preferred with some cheese. They were swimming in garlic butter. It came with Bread service so that was nice to have something to dip with it
Pro tip for the instagram lover:
They have a these nice backdrops to take photos with. We did ours with this large green one which made for pretty group photos. Ask your server
Parking is street parking. It was a bit difficult to find it, but there are side streets as well.
This is a great little place. The food is excellent. Pay particular attention to the specials, too. The standard menu is great, but some of their specials are truly outstanding. Along with the food, the service is very good, and the beer selection is great fun. They claim to have one of the best selections of Belgian beers around, and they live up to that claim.
I went here for Valentine’s Day and it was awesome! I wanted to try the regular cheeseburger, since I am a slightly picky eater, but they had a special menu for V Day. I had the Cupid (Brasserie) burger, which had pork belly, fried leeks, pomegranate aioli, and more. I was skeptical at first because I haven’t had most of those things before, but the taste was off the chain! I also got a Belgium beer in a spherical beer glass, which was cool.
Dario's is one of the best restaurants in Omaha! Pictured below is their charcuterie, the seafood crepe, and mushroom risotto with scallops. Everyone one of these dishes was prepared perfectly. I also love the steak frites at Dario's. If you're a beer drinker they have an extensive selection. Go now.
Always love visiting for brunch! Tasty beers, classic french options and a relaxed atmosphere. Loved the crepes and the croissants. They offer limited chocolate and almond. So yummy!
I had brunch here recently and adored the salmon bennies. I’ve never in my life had better salmon.
I’ve had a lot of salmon.
While my wife and I were finishing up the last minute planning for our wedding, my mom asked if we could have a brunch the day after the wedding. With a weeks notice and 18 people to feed, I was in a panic. Erin at Darios took all the weight off my shoulders and provided the most amazing event for my wife and my family. We gave her full license to do as she pleased and the spread was unbelievable. Now all my mom can talk about is how she cant wait to go back for brunch next time she is in Omaha. thank you for rounding out our magical weekend
Food is delicious and the server was the most helpful I've ever had at a restaurant. He understood my friend's food allergies perfectly and was able to help her navigate the complicated situation she found herself in. Definitely worth a visit.
Wow! Top notch quality and service! I had the banana nut French toast and my wife had "Meurette." 2 perfectly poached eggs, tiny baby mushrooms, bacon, caramelized onions, and red wine sauce. That was phenomenal.
