If you want good food (and a lot of it) and you can act like a grown up, this is your place. It seems a little sketchy from the exterior, but great food and friendly people. I can see how many people would get their feelings hurt, but if you want that, go to a place that the most expensive thing on the menu is more than $15.
Best food on this side of town.. Great menu, even better prices AND they deliver. That is perfection, right there. All my drunks and stoners, this is where to go get food on the way to the bar. Get high first, though; you will need your appetite for this place. MOUNTAINS of food for like six bucks.
Mostly Hit, Some Miss. My family has been ordering delivery from this place since before I was born. I believe it used to be called "Lucy's" and we still call it that. I have had nearly everything on the menu, the pizza most often. The majority of the time, I am extremely satisfied with the food. Sometimes it is really sub-par and it sucks, but when it's good, it's really good. The "enchilada and 2 taco" dinner is one of my faves, as is the grilled chicken salad, meat nachos, and the chicken strip dinner. All portions are pretty large, and the price is decent. The pizza is HUGE for the price, and is wonderful 95% of the time. While we don't order from here like we used to, I still see it as a dependable restaurant and will order from here again.
Outside signage strange but YOU NEED to try them! Clean dining area with superb food from breakfasts..mexican...home cooked meals...chicken fried rice is awesome..pizza..REAL home fried potatoes grilled with onion and pappers. Never disappointed and you wont go away hungry. Very friendly staff treat you like family.
I love this place.. Being skeptical over some of the comments. I found that the place was VERY CLEAN and FRIENDLY. Yes, it is a little outdated, but it gives a 70's feel i think. I am now a regular customer. I doubt you will find any roaches in the food and the staff to be rude!
The Price is Right. Super-slow, but courteous service (understaffed). Got the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs had very little flavor and tasted like they were frozen, but this is expected at a diner. The sauce was good and sweet. The noodles were cooked to the right amount. There was a touch too much water in the pasta, but the pasta sauce itself wasn't watered down and was thick. This was a positive considering I only paid 5.50. It had some seasoning, which is all I can ask for at the price. The garlic bread had flavor, but was mushy. All-in-all, I'm happy because the food was decent and the price was excellent. The inside was very clean and had furniture that looked like it was from the seventies, kept up in excellent condition.
It's now open until 3am on Friday and Saturday and closes at midnight the rest of the week.
Score One for Karebear. This place is corroding and rotting and in danger of collapsing on the few patrons they have.
SHAME ON THE CITY OF OKLAHOMA FOR NOT CONDEMNING A HAZARDOUS ESTABLISHMENT.
Good breakfast.... This place has intrigued me for years as I traveled from Norman to Oklahoma City for work every day. It was only recently that I decided to pull off the highway and give it a shot.
Despite its somewhat shady exterior and the 70's interior, the dining room was very clean and the staff extremely friendly. That in itself made me feel comfortable right away.
I ordered what I typically order for breakfast somewhere new -- 2 eggs over medium, crispy bacon, hashbrowns scattered and smothered, and wheat toast. Pretty simple, but amazing how many times it's not done right. They got it right here. The food was very good and very plentiful. And the coffee was good and never got cold...
I've heard from a friend that the pizza is also delicious and I plan to stop for one on the way home soon. But, I can certainly recommend this place for a nice, leisurely breakfast. Hope to see you there!
Great Pizza, Great Price. Like the other reviewer said, this place looks scary. It sits next to the deserted lot where the Green Carpet Inn was just torn down, the parking lot is full of pot holes, and it's right off the interstate. This being said, everything I've had from here is delicious, and you cannot beat their pizza deals. Forget Little Caesars. At Chelio's, you can get a large 2-topping pizza (and they don't skimp) for $7.00. For $9.00, you can get any toppings. It's unbelievable, and the pizza is GOOD. Thank you Chelio's. Even when I'm broke, I eat like a queen!
This place has the best diner food. Reasonable price for the food you get. Fast service and friendly staff. If you are ok with the smell of White Dimonds and Marlboros eat inside, if not, it's worth getting it to go.
The food was awesome! The elder lady who took care of us was a little scatter in her thoughts.
I was scared pulling up to the spot but the good reviews lead me in- and I'm SO glad it did! The food was good, portions HUGE, and prices BEYOND reasonable. My server was this beautiful lady that kept asking my family and I if we needed anything else-which was sooo kind. She even let me take my drink AND ranch to-go! I will try to come back again before I leave Oklahoma. Just great!
I ordered a medium taco pizza. It was yummy😋 & huge.
Always a great place to eat. Love the ladies up there, they always make us feel like family. Coffee cup is always full, omelets are awesome. pizzas are huge and the best in town, their salads are awesome. Thank you to the cook and waitresses
This place looks abandon at first glance, but It’s truly a hidden gem. The food is delicious and the service is even better!
Fantastic hole-in-the-wall, has about every kind of food you could want, Italian, American, breakfast, etc. Excellent service and the food alone was worth the perfect review. This restaurant is going to be a constant return place for me and my wife anytime we are hungry around OKC. Shannon was the name of our server and not only was she attentive, but she was fast, went above on our requests and asked the right clarifying questions on anything that could have been miscommunicated. This is only the second time I saved a restaurant in another city to make sure I return to it.
Look past the exterior and venture inside this retro styled diner. There is a wide array of choices from breakfast, steaks, pizza, Mexican, and just good ole' comfort food. There is something here for everyone. Portions are huge and prices are cheap. The food is soooo good!
You will never be disappointed here. The food is amazing always cooked to order. Chelio's is my all time favorite diner. First time tonight for delivery and the young lady had my order here on time still hot and fresh. You always get a large amount of food so come hungry or keep the leftovers!! Best diner in OKC!!!
Found another local gem! So glad to find this one...
Quiet, spacious, excellent diner experience. Ordered a burger and fries, both were awesome! Had a strawberry sundae in a cup, also delicious. Enjoyed the atmosphere very much. Service was great, just the right amount. Will return!
This place is great! The food was great! Hot, fast, fresh! Service was wonderful, super friendly, and fast. The building is old and could use a little updating, but it's still very charming in its own way! It was clean, just outdated.
