First time to visit. Generous portions. Nice people. And yes that is French toast and brisket nachos. Next time we'll ask for ranch dressing to go with the delicious onion rings. Go now and take your appetite!
YAS! This place is clean and friendly, family owned & operated with huge portions of DELICIOUS BBQ! Order at the counter and have a seat. We both got the 3 meat tray. 1:pulled pork, chopped brisket, smoked turkey w/slaw and sweet tater casserole, corn bread. 2:jerk pulled pork, hot links, ribs w/greens and sweet tater casserole, corn bread. Everything was so delicious! Smoked meat had a great flavor and the sauces commented the meat but wasn't needed to eat it. The portions are so big my husband couldn't finish it all. We will definitely be back! (side note: GET THE GREENS!)
A black owned establishment that brings the absolute best of urban eats to the OKC area. The atmosphere is just like being at home, from the slow R&B playing softly in the background, to the array or urban canvases that'd you'd typically see at your grandma's house. There's several TVs for the sports enthusiast. Clean environment, great service, ultra friendly staff. Family friendly, media sized facility, probably can't host more than 10 without a reservation. Decent menu selection, good sized portions, wait time is reasonable. Slightly higher prices.
The food is soulful, flavorful, and just right. No BBQ sauce needed. No selection of dry ribs, and the BBQ sauce at the table is average. The potato salad is slightly bland and the sweet tea was really really sweet. If the only criticism about a BBQ spot is the potato salad and sweet tea, then you've found a gem! Great job! Definitely recommend dining here!!!
Well I ordered the smoked lobster tail recived the fried tail but didnt want to drive back to receive a new order. This mistake turned out to be an AMAZING mistake with the smoked flavor permeating the meat with the thin even coating giving it a solid crunch. The greens were good and fresh. The mac and cheese was amazing. The cornbeard was light and fluffy. Sent photos to my wife now can't go back alone
Everything was delicious!! Ribs were tender, jerk chicken with the right amount of heat, and the baked beans with the chopped brisket on top...no words!! You have to leave room for dessert!!! We couldn’t choose one so we got 2!! The caramel cake is like butter...melts in your mouth & the peach cobbler with hints of cinnamon and vanilla with the perfect amount of crust!! We need a nap 💤 ♥️♥️♥️ Absolutely 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This place is great! The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has a clear sense of identity. I took my food to go, but I certainly wouldn't mind eating there when I have the time.
The food was perfect. You can taste the smoke and love that is going into each item. Smoked chicken was expertly seasoned and still moist after smoking. The ribs were thick and tender. The cornbread, divine.
We visited Cornish Smokehouse in the fall after a morning at the Orr family farm. We recently moved to the area from Kansas City, which is a bbq town. Our expectations are high when it comes to bbq. This place meets all of them.
We LOVED everything we ordered. From a specialty sandwich, to the loaded baked potato and wings everything was perfectly smoked with delicious flavor. The house made sauce is really good too. I loved the sweet cornbread that came with the meals. I asked the owner what style of bbq he ascribes to and he said it was Texas style.
We happened to be there during a OU game playing on the TV's and they were doing raffle tickets and giving away prizes during half time. The staff were super friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our meal here!
When we are in the area again we will definitely come back and enjoy some more BBQ!
Amazing! Had the jerk fried chicken, bourbon jerk wings, and pulled pork sandwich (not pictured, ate too fast). The bourbon wings were spicy and sweet. The jerk chicken was flavorful spicy w a lil tang, sooo good!! Pulled pork was good too. Okra, fries, beans, and onion rings were all solid sides. Waited a little, bc they cook to order. Well worth the wait!! Great service and loved the bumpin music!!
Delicious, mouth-watering smoked meat! The smoky flavor of my turkey leg was incredible. The meat was moist, tender, and flavorful. The lobster mac had so much rich, creamy goodness. My wife got the loaded brisket potato which was also wonderfully yummy! I can't wait to go back to try more! This BBQ is top notch!
Great flavor to the meat, havent had it all, but pulled pork, & sliced brisket are very good. Burnt ends have just a hint of smoke with a sweet finish. The collard greens, sweet potato casserole, & potato salad were also packed with good flavors.
