Food is flavorful. We can customize spice levels so can’t complain it’s not spicy or very spicy. Kids loved these thin yet soft naans and rotis and paneer dishes. Dal makhani is decent too. Samosas are good. I liked the mild chai center for unlimited tea although it’s not strong chai. Restaurant has very good indoor decor and service is fast and friendly. They definitely need to improve portion size of entries or sabzis.

Had a chicken Tikka massala and a yello lentil with spinach dish. Both were great. We're pretty low spice tolerant and their mild versions are really zero spicy. It was great.
I really liked the food. We ordered spicy lamb coconut curry, chicken with spinach and broccoli curry. Delicious! They also offer complimentary chai tea which is very tasty. I really recommend this place if you like "Tibetan" Indian food. Excellent choice!
This was my first time having Indian cuisine in Alameda. The staff was friendly, place was clean, and with quick service. The host effortlessly catered to the 10 of us. The food. It was as enjoyed by everyone even with talk of returning. Flavors were good but not intense, but just enough where your taste buds are asking for more. Portions are so that each in a group could order something and everyone in the group would be more than full. Plus endless good tasting unsweetened chai.
I have been to Guru Curry house only once, physically (because of Covid concerns); it has excellent ambience and service. I have picked-up food at this excellent restaurant more than 6 times. Here is my take on specific dishes I have tried. They have several levels of heat. If you like "HOT", I recommend that you select "SUPER SPICY", because they typically under spice the dishes.

The food is awesome. The food is fresh made and takes a bit longer to get compared to a place that reheats food. Service is good. They have such a great clean environment. Chicken Tikka and curry prawns are so good. And the Vegetable samosa, they are large... But good.
Mango lassi was amazing, Karahi Paneer was good, keema naan was really tasty
