Pretty neat place. Good coffee and a very refreshing change from the chain stuff. Very nice and helpful staff which I believe were the owners.
This is a great local coffee shop with specialty drinks and and bistro-style menu items like chicken pesto panini and delicious house made spinach dip. Did I mention they roast beans in-house? Between their dazzling employees and their quaint, kitschy interior, this coffee house has quickly made its way to my favorite Kentucky destinations.
I wish this place was here when I was growing up living in Nicholasville! I recommend the House coffee, americano or chai tea. If you’re hungry their tomato soup is absolutely incredible! Plenty of seating for a group coffee date or lunch. Pretty renovated shop and local arts and crafts to purchase. Definitely worth a trip here if you’ve never been! The staff is friendly and quick with making your orders.
I love the aesthetic, the atmosphere, the food and coffee were pretty good and worth my money. I sincerely love the intention behind this place: a community-centered establishment promoting good will (ridding Nicholasville of addiction, creating jobs, etc.). Why so many Christian tones throughout a coffee shop? I have no problem with Christian faith, though I don’t practice it myself, but if given the choice, I would head to a Starbucks in the spirit of being surrounded by people of all faiths. You can serve your god and mission—probably more successfully, too—if you stood by your mission without preaching to customers. Just a thought. I will be probably come back, regardless.
J's place provides a nice cozy atmosphere along with great food and drinks. The sandwiches have all been nice and the coffee has been great. Can be a little pricey, but I don't mind if it supports local businesses, especially those with a good cause. Limited hours so it's hard to find time to stop by.

Had an incredible Monte Cristo here! Lovely coffee everytime :)
Good price... spacious... good lights from windows... walking distance to few stores within downtown... feel so relaxed. I order campfire coffee and it's good and fun to drink. I also order two burritos (comes with smoked gouda and thick cut bacon in the burrito) and I am satisfied.
Love the coffee. Love the mission! This coffee shop is not just focused on serving a good cup of joe. Ingrained in their DANA is giving back to Jessamine county. Great place to hang out with friends of have a business meeting. Plenty of seating on a normal traffic day.
Great coffee, great food, great people! J's Place does so much community outreach and events, particularly kid/family fun events. My favorites are the frozen J's Mocha and the Cuban sandwich. Their homemade coleslaw is very tasty
