Freshest fish in town; great menu!. While a restaurant serving both Japanese cuisine and Philly cheesesteaks isn't an everyday sight, Newport Fresh manages to expertly craft both with quality you'd expect to don formal clothing and pay a lot more for.
Whenever I'm in the area I make it a point to stop by. The owners are very friendly, in addition to being highly knowledgable about the foods they prepare.
Their spicy salmon roll, a personal favorite that I've sampled at eateries across the world, is phenomenal, as is the salmon plate.
If you're in the mood for something heavier, make sure to give one of their cheesesteaks a try.

The husband and wife that own the place are always the only two working. I'm not big on sushi so haven't tried that but the chicken protein bowl is absolutely amazing. It almost feels like a crime to know about this place!
Chicken and egg bowls are a weekly occurrence for us! The flavor is like nothing around. We love coming every week to the friendly service and great food!

Husband and wife owned and ran. They are always so kind. You can trust the integrity of the food. It may look like a hole in the wall, but it's so yummy and always good. I recommend the chicken egg protein bowl.
A classic mom and pop beach restaurant. The hand written menus are a little unprofessional but you can tell they love what they do based on the food quality. Best item = Protein bowl. Skip the menus and ask. The secret protein bowl is the only thing anyone regularly buys since it's not even on the handwritten (funky) menu
One of my favorite places to pick up lunch/dinner. Go to order is the protein bowl, chicken and egg mild. Danny does a great job with everything he makes. Would give it 6 stars if I could
Owners are so kind and the food is just amazing. The protein bowl with chicken will be everything youve ever wanted! Plenty of parking and a walk from the beach.
This is a hidden gem in Newport. The protein bowl is fantastic and the sushi is great too. And if a cheese steak sandwich is what you want, they make a very tasty one here. That's how I originally discovered it!
One of my must stops in Newport Beach. The husband and wife who run and own the place are very friendly and hard working people. The spicy chicken and egg bowl, along with the spicy sashimi bowl, are amazing fresh made items.
