Down the street a walk away from Penn station. Food was lovely, local atmosphere. What brought me here was it's close by to the area I'm staying and it's open to midnight when other places are closed by 9pm and there's nothing to do. Our bartender was cool she was Brazilian Italian fun spirited. There were other customers who were nice and friendly and some were ready to give recommendations to what to see and check out. When staying in Newark, it's one of the places to check and hang out.
Very nice neighborhood establishment, friendly staff, and excellent menu selections. They have a regular customer base and fantastic pub fare. Make sure to check the specials on the menu - the double-cut pork chop is just the dose of comfort you need when you’re away from home.
This is the place to celebrate a Devils win or sulk after a crushing defeat. Less than a 10 minute walk from The Rock, it's an ideal spot for post-game or pre-game eats & libation. Food was delicious & they have a wide variety of alcohol too. The waitress and bartender were super friendly.
Mild wings and chili with no onion or sour cream. Very good. It’s definitely a pub with music blasting. You can sit wherever as soon as you go in. First time here. Kinda have to wave down waiter. But there was only two working. But we enjoyed it surprisingly. Parked 3 minutes. Good pub rough neighborhood. Everyone at pub was in a good mood. Coooool vibe!
Great food with plentiful portions. We were served at the bar by the owner who was an absolute joy to talk to throughout our visit and kept our drinks full, our wait time low, and made us wish there was a Bello’s in our home town. This is a perfect gem of a place for lunch or dinner.
Great lunch spot right outside Newark Penn Station. Music is a bit too loud to hold a conversation, but food is good and staff is accommodating. Too bad so many homeless and scary groups on the walk there, but not the restaurants fault. Great beer selection and once inside, friendly crowd.
