Looks like they totally renovated this place and cleaned it up. Outside seating is nice. Giving them a shot again. Lunch special.

The verdict is in. They have stepped up their game here. Maki lunch special of three rolls and soup or salad for $11.50 was a steal. Very fresh. Terrific plating. Attentive service. Manager went by every table to check on everyone. Sat outside even though inside has all new seating and decor.
I live in this neighborhood and although there are many sushi places to go to around here, I still like this one the best for outside dining. Why you may ask? Because they actually have it! When the weather is nice out they set up terrific outside seating. Nice tables and chairs, and large umbrellas too.
Hopefully, they will keep it up.
Totally great fresh, generous basic sushi. This is my favorite "local" Japanese sushi place. Why?
because for some reason their servings of individual sushi are larger than most and the same time impecably fresh and reasonable in price. The fish drapes over the ends of the rice on both sides and is comfortably wide. I always order the fixed price sushi deluxe and pay a bit extra for substitute roll. Sometimes it is too much to eat and I take some home. The hand rolls are generous also. I am not fond of a green roll they have (with some sort of soy wrapping), otherwise I have loved everything. The complimentary green tea is very nice and warm sake also reasonable and tasty. Service is pleasant. Atmostphere warm and pleasant. Their lunch sushi is also a good value.
