The A2B was very good. The service is super fast but be warned, the restaurant gets filled up quickly on weekends and it’s a small outlet.
We had the masala chai, mango lassi and filter coffee for drinks. All were authentic.
We had the Mysore masala dosa and the samosa chat. The quantity is huge!
The sambar was excellent and the portions are large. A great restaurant!
A lovely place that serves delicious South Indian food, a must visit for Indian tourists who wish to add some spice to their holiday. Surely recommend.

One of the best authentic South Indian restaurants in midtown. Paper dosa a must try here and the uttapams are also great. One can't finish a full deluxe thali alone so I always prefer a lunch thali. Try the chole bhatura and you will be amazed.
Grt food. Fairly authentic south Indian food. Was equally impressed by the quality of tawa chapatis. Dont miss the butter milk. Warm and hospitable.
Great food and very fast service. Very underrated. Would definitely visit again! The restaurant was neat and the ambiance was simple but the great food more than compensated for that. Must try if you like South Indian cuisine.
Lovely people and good food. They could've done with a slight tidying up / shower but no other complaints. Extensive South Indian snack menu and everything we tried was good. The thali (Chennault express) is a bit of a wild child and tries too hard to be too many things so mostly avoidable. The coffee is brilliant so do order
A small , easy to miss place on 1st Ave. , but probably the best South Indian food in NYC. Not to be missed by people who love authentic South Indian food.
Wow! This place serves authentic south Indian food and that too made fresh unlike lots of other places where frozen food is reheated and served. That said this restaurant lost a "4" rating because of the utterly slow service. Waited almost an hour for the food. I overlooked the poor service because of the yummy food. So it is a good place to try, just keep in mind the long wait!
