Shorty’s was a raucous bar at midnight on a Thursday, interesting crowd, lots of sports, good staff, and a good beer menu that was reasonably priced but I was still getting big discounts that I couldn’t see on the menu. Then I ordered a cheesesteak and it had a lot of tender steak but seemed light on cheese. It was supposed to be sharp provolone but I could hardly taste it. Aside from that, it was a tasty sandwich and a good night.

Having just been fully introduced to the Philly cheesesteak last year, I was psyched to see a genuine cheesesteak joint open late near my hotel when I was in NYC! These are as close to the real deal as I've seen... and pretty budget-conscious for NYC. They have a to-go window in the back so if you're looking to pick-up that's an option too. I stayed and had a beer or two with my meal... so good. Packed on a Wed night at 11pm.
This is a Philly bar in NYC but foremost a Sports Bar. Don’t worry if you want another game, many games on many televisions. The bar faces the wall with about 18 seats on the long side and 5 on the short. I am sitting on the long side near the door. I order a Pizza Steak with onions which comes with provolone and marinara sauce, standard. I also have Mozzarella
My boyfriend was so excited to check this place out since he loved cheesesteaks and it's right on his street! We ordered online and it was ready in 5 minutes. Great customer service. The interior is very nicely renovated and looks clean. His sandwich was HUGE and you can see in my attached photo that literally the meat is pouring out. My wings were pretty delish as well. I got the mild Buffalo wings but honestly I probably could have handled the spicy. Their blue cheese dressing was great as well!
We visited Shorty's Cheesesteaks in 2014 during Thanksgiving and we found this place to be delicious! Great service, great food, and this one is better than both Pat's and Gino's in Philadelphia. We will definitely come here again the next time we visit New York! Definitely recommend this place for lunch and dinner.

We have been visiting NYC for sightseeing and Shorty’s has saved us (via Ubereats) after long days out. They deliver late which is great for us as we’re from Europe so we’re unused to restaurants closing early. Never ordered sandwiches on delivery before but we are now absolute converts - the Philly and chicken cheesesteaks have been lush and the Italian chips (fries?) stayed hot and crispy even via delivery. If we lived nearby this would be a regular place for us, thank you Shorty’s!
Friendly service and a goodazz cheesesteak. Their hot peppers actually have heat! A little bit pricey but I'd eat there again and I'm poor
I don’t ever leave reviews on restaurant in nyc bc a lot of them aren’t good, but this place is IT. The Philly cheesesteak was BUSSIN & the cheese fries were on point. This is the closest you’d get to a good cheesesteak from Philly.
