I have been coming to this place for the past 9 years. The food and drinks are always amazing. So happy to have a neighborhood gem to go to for a spontaneous night out, as well as for a planned special occasion.
Amazing band on the Friday night I went. The food was delicious and authentically made. Loved the "ropa vieja"dish. Great crowd of patrons as well, a lot of Dominicans (not sure if it was just that particular night because there was a large birthday party) but it was a welcoming, inclusive, and fun vibe for all. Soooo many mojito flavors to try, but the Piña colada was great, or rather, the three I had, since I kept putting them away they were so tasty!
Great food and great service. It's my first cuban restaurant so I can't comment on how "cuban" it is but I thought the food was awesome. The service was also very friendly and quick
Excellent, great food, service and good price!. I was impressed with this restaurant, best Cuban place I have been in NYC. Food was amazing, service incredible and great price. I always ask for a beer but the mojitos looks so yummy and they were, this is the only place that got it right from the first time. Their starters and entrees are amazing , and the dessert just wonderful! Do not miss this place, if You want to have a good time, this is the rigth place to start with! :D!

Diamond in the Rough. Regular visitors to NYC from Delaware. Tried Amor Cubano, based on reviews here and enjoyed a terrific evening all around. Our appetizer (Garbanzos Fritos), salads (Amor Cubano), and entrees (3 - chicken, skirt steak, and pork) were all fresh, interesting, and tasty with enough pizzazz and visual appeal to make each stand out. Service was friendly and attentive from the smiling hostess to the low key, informative, and ever available waitress. The band was a nice surprise and provided lively, up tempo energy with a real Cuban flair. The Guava Mojitos and free form dancing only added to the thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Our New Spot. I had an amazing experience at this restaurant the other night! I went with my husband and some friends and we are definitely going back. Our food was exceptional and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Our server was outstanding and probably the best waitress we have seen. It was steady, not overly and we felt very at home. We had appetizers (the platter of mix chucherias, like they name it, is awesome) we all had something different for dinner to share with each other and we couldn't decide what was better out of all four dishes. Although we were far to full for desert we took some to go and it was as good as the rest. The staff was all friendly and welcoming and this is definitely our new spot!.

After waking up the other morning craving a Cuban sandwich (strange, I know, but pretty normal for me) and then having a friend tell me later that
afternoon about this great Cuban place, I knew it was meant to be.
I came in for an early dinner and the place was not too crowded. The service was quickly and very helpful and friendly
I had a Cuban sandwich, and a mojito (a drink made with rum, lime and mints). It was all fantastic. Filling, but didn't sit too heavy in the stomach.
I'm already making a list in my head of what to try the next time I go back.
They also had flan and other desserts that I'm sure will be just as delicious as the flan that i tried.
My biggest regret was not trying some yuca frita with my sandwich.They're calling my name. I might just have to go back tomorrow.
The best Cuban Restaurant in Manhattan. Since i live in New York City i have been looking for a Cuban restaurant with traditional cuban food as my mom make me in Cuba and all that i had is disappointment. Last month my friends invite me to a cuban restaurant in Spanish Harlem name Amor Cubano, I was a little worried because i have been in a lot of restaurants in Manhattan and i was convinced that i was not going to find a Cuban flavor. Well let me tell you that i was impress with this restauran, the decoration can transport you to old havana, waiters and bartenders are from cuban so everybody is very friendly and professional, food delightful, my black beens and pork were so tasty that i was thinking in cuba all the time that i was there, if you can go tried the pork or the ropa vieja. They have live music to and you can enjoy traditionals cuban songs.Trust me Amor Cubano is the best Cuban restaurant in New York City.
Like a trip to Cuba. Its just charming and always fun to go there. its adorable and has the feel that Ricky Ricardo from I LOVE LUCY days is going to come and play and sing. The waitresses are dressed like old havanna, the neighborhood is getting trendy and hot, so it all adds to the food and the mood. The food is wonderful and the service is great....

I really love this restaurant. Amor Cubano is my favorite restaurant, and I recently had a birthday party there. The food is excellent, the staff always warm and friendly, and the vibe relaxed. For my birthday, they kindly arranged a great table.

Yummy Cuban Food in East Harlem.
The food was really good just on the pricey side. The waitress/bartender was phenomenal and incredibly attentive.
I saw a stage with drums and a mic stand so I’m of the belief they have live music. Hoping to return to enjoy it over drinks.
The decor was tasteful with exposed brick on one side.
Great food! Nice ambience and pretty good music! The staff was very friendly and on time with the food. Its a nice place to enjoy a nice evening with a loved one or just a family gathering like we did! Celebrated 3 birthdays!! Awesome time! Small place not enough room. But great place to have a nice time.

Food and service was excellent. One waitress at the time we sat down, but she took care of 3 indoor tables, 2 outdoor tables, and 4 at the bar. Like a champ. Very good at her job.

Amazing food, friendly staff, clean and nice atmosphere. I have been at Amor Cubano 5 or 6 times in the last couple of years and have always had a great experience. The seafood paella is my absolute favorite!
