So far the best Cantonese restaurant found in nyc! Both the decoration and accents of the waiters made you fell at home, and the dishes are awesome. Came in during a weekday noon and there’s no need to wait. We had chicken, fish and fried rice noodles and none of them disappointed us. Although the translation of the restaurant is “home of porridge” but we were to full to try the porridge (will try it next time!). Personally I love the fried rice noodles the most, and it tastes the same as what I had back in Guangzhou. Service was great and all waiters talked in Cantonese which is a plus. Great place and a 5/5.

Went in for lunch with the team after photo shoot. All the dishes we ordered were super delicious. I don’t eat beef but it looked really tempting. Loved the whole chicken. The portions were huge. We were 8 people & ordered 7 dishes, it was more than enough that we had leftovers. The place is quite big & nice. Definitely would like to try congee next time.

Surprised at how big this place is! Lots of tables inside and seating options available. The food was good and the pricing was fair for the portion size. Really liked the lobster and bamboo dish that had rice and frog legs. Nice place to eat out at with a large group or have a get together. There also was a nice pond near the stairs with a koi fish inside. Overall, nice interior and a good place to eat out at if you're looking for Chinese food.

This has been a reliable, inexpensive Chinese restaurant on the lower Eastside for decades. The service is not the most charming you’ll find but the food is tasty and the prices are good. Interesting interior decor.

I personally love this place a lot! The portion was a lot and the people were kind. We waited for more than 30 mins since it was a weekend night, but worth it. They have their own cooking taste and style so everything was good. A good place to go if you are having a meal with many people.

WARNING: One of the BEST NYC Chinese Spots! I have been eating here for many years. I would come here all throughout the winter for a stomach warming seafood congee. As well the Chinese water spinach + beef short ribs here are my other favorites. Everything here is cooked with love ❤️. 🤗

Congee is very good. Scallion pancakes are crispy and chewy. Soup dumplings are mini and not much juice or meat inside. The streaky pork with persevered vegetables is good but the lean part of the meat is a little too dry.

We called to reserve a table for 5 for 7pm and when we got there, we still had to wait around 30-40 mins for our table to be ready. I think they should put a dining time limit because huge family groups would sit there for hours and not give up their seat even though they finished eating... anyways, asides from that, the food was really tasty but downside is we waited for our food for 30 mins or so. By the time we started eating it was already 8:15pm and everyone in my party was starving. Good food but bad table management!
