Fantastic time lastnight. A monday. Met my cousin for dinner. I picked the place from apple map app of suggested places to eat in the area. So now about the place!!
The wait staff was great. Should have got the waitress name dark hair very pretty. Beer was very tasty. Appetizers were also good. Very nice atmosphere. Dinner also came out n we loved our food. About 7pm a jazz band came on and lots of jazz dancing. Think it was a dance group. Place got busy. Enjoyed my night greatly. I would like to go back
Fantastic service and the server was very attentive to our two young kids in tow. Beer dip and cheese was exactly what we needed to shake of the chill. Reuben was the best I have ever had anywhere! Thank you!
This German resturant is very laid back and has a fun atmosphere. Waitresses wear German outfits and everything looks very rustic. They do have TVs all through out for games on different screens so that’s also fun. There is a small balcony that faces the street which is cool.
Have been here twice already, and always enjoy it a lot on a relaxing night with friends. First time I ordered the Cauliflower soup which was delicious and second time a bacon burger.
****Their potato chips are wayyyyy better than their french fries. 😉
Great prices and great service!
Nice atmosphere. My fiancé is from Germany and I personally lived in Germany for 2 years. And this place remind me to Germany. Really good food
And beer. And nice and smiley hosts. I’ll be back.
We visited for both happy hour and again for dinner. The happy hour is top notch. Food is great. Service great. Feels Austrian/German. Bier is German, and the food is also German/American.
Solid Munich/Oktoberfest-esque beer hall perfectly located in East Midtown. 3 blocks from Grand Central & easy to find. The atmosphere was laid back, the beer was perfect, and the food is pretty massive for the portions. It's strange that a sit-down restaurant asks for a card upfront, which makes it feel more like a bar & tab situation. Nevertheless I can absolutely see myself coming back when friends come into town & they are looking for a easy respite from the midtown chaos.
Nice place and the Jägerschnitzel is quite good. It's a try at a Bavarian beer hall, which isn't typical German.
Staff is nice and prices are higher because it's Manhattan.
Biggest drawback are the long stairs to get in. Don't drink too much or you end up with broken bones trying to get down those stairs. Also, if you are handicapped it seems you are out of luck.
We attended the Friday night Oktoberfest. The food was good , we enjoyed 5 appetizers. Beers were giant as we ordered the liter size beers. The band got us up out of our seats to sing along and dance.
A keg tapping was in order and a round of beers from that keg for anyone who wanted one. Additionally a roast pig was brought out of the kitchen and a small plate of pork was provided to anyone who desired some .
Great night out . Been there before and will definitely return.
Excellent service. Our waiter (Dangster)was very personable and made our dining experience fun. On site brewed beer was very good . Food was great, portions were large. A great experience.
