Only a few steps from Penn Station, not the most modern place, but that’s probably part of what makes it great.
Fast service, a good selection of cream cheeses and extra seating on the mezzanine, stairs at the back.
It can be a bit intimidating to make your choice as a first time visitor, their signage could be improved to better illustrate what is available.
Overall really good and I highly recommend the jalapeño cream cheese, not too spicy. I bet it would be fantastic on a sandwich.

Great place! really convenient and friendly staff! Really tasty bagels. Was my First ever meal in NYC. Always have the French Bull ,They're great and been going there often since. Bagels and many ingredients are fresh.
My new favorite bagel spot. Great variety of spreads and the bagels always taste fresh. Also being a big fan of breakfast bagels I love that they serve them until 2pm on weekdays and 4pm on weekends! Way better than Murray's down the street.
Fast paced place so be ready with your order as you will feel rushed. Good bagels and sandwiches. The coffee is good as well. Old school spot in the middle of midtown and all its chain franchises. Service is curt and borders rude but it's part of the charm.
Their bagels are huge. I had a plain bagel with lox and cream cheese. It was really good but I could only eat half of it. It's in a great location near Madison Square Garden and it's worth trying out.
Say you're feeling like a bacon egg & cheese on a roll and it's lunchtime: What do you do? When all the others tell you NO, you just go right ahead and tell them SCREW YOU JACK and walk on over to the Bagel Maven. They don't care what time of day it is. They'll make you your bacon egg & cheese on a roll whenever you want. God bless them. For this, they get five stars. Nothing else matters.
Nice place for a quick bite or drink. Perfect location for those standing in line to catch the chartered bus going back to DC and need a drink or snack. I recommend this place. What you see is what you get really.
This place was delicious. Loved my bagel and it had some cute tables I could sit at to eat it away from the cold! Was happy to have found it.
Great food, your order will be made correctly, and they have competative prices for the area. If you're visiting NYC and want a real bagel, this is your spot.
