Stopped in for a late Sunday brunch. Lots of TVs for catching all the NFL games. Had a lively crowd of football fans enjoying the games. The menu is small, but they have a few extra brunch items on Sunday. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was fresh, hot and tasty. Portions were plentiful. The pickles are excellent by the way.
Now this is my kind of venue!! This is exactly how I used to enjoy the sports bars here in NYC in the 90’s. Fantastic layout, big screens easily viewed, great decor, great vibe, the team there are super friendly and attentive, but not in an overbearing way. The food was great and sensibly priced, especially for Manhattan right now. It smelled fabulous when served up! If I lived more locally this would be a very regular haunt for me. I love it and wish them every success. I can’t wait to return!
I hosted a very successful office happy hour here - they were easy to work with in regards to reserving the right space for my group, and then the staff last night took excellent care of us (shout out to the lovely Laura). Food and drinks were really good too; we'll be back again!
My friend and I had a great experience! We ordered the burger with fries and it was amazing!!!!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff!!!!
This was a nice place to have a drink and a good burger. The service was good and people were friendly. The beer on tap was fresh and cold. I ordered a burger and fries, my food came out fresh and hot. They cook food to order which is nice because I’m not a fan of well don’t beef. I would recommend Grey Bar and Restaurant to anybody looking for a good lunch.
Good spot with nice decor and comfy vibe. Usual bar/pub food so nothing special. The signature burger is nice and I'm glad they don't do it in a brioche bun! Service could have been more with a smile which let's it down, otherwise worth a try.
We arrived around 11, post theater. The staff was friendly and attentive and the place was moderately crowded. The food was excellent and the vegetables were plentiful, which we desperately needed. Quinoa salad and chicken paillard. Burgers for the kids.
I have only ordered the burger but the two times I have had it, they were happy to substitue onion rings for fries. I can't eat potatoes and a lot of restaurants get uppity if younask for a food substitute. They are open late on week nights so it's a great place to head to after meetings at the Grand Lodge or if your in one of the numerous dance studios in the area.
We stopped in for a quick drink before our museum reservation, and Madison was so delightful behind the bar we promised a return when we were done. She made us delicious palomas and garden mules (cucumber/blueberry/vodka/ginger beer), and was the friendliest bartender we have encountered thus far in New York. Food menu looked wonderful but we didn’t try anything this time. You’ve made new friends from Seattle; we will be back!
After our original plans did not pan out, we decided to walk to Grey Bar near our hotel to grab a quick bite to eat. Glad we did! We got there around 11pm Saturday night and there was no wait. The bar and atmosphere was nice, the staff was super friendly and the food pretty good, especially the lamb chop. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, check it out!
