I'm visiting New Jersey from California and we saw this shop on the insider so we made the drive over to the city just for Milk and Cookies. There was a young lady and young man working who were amazing! The young lady was so charismatic and very welcoming! She was interacting with us as if we had known her for years. Of course the gentleman was working hard to make the ice cream sandwiches.
Thank you for not only providing amazing dessert but also for amazing service and hospitality! I can't wait to come back and send my traveling friends here!
Came here on Foods of NY tour. Absolutely the best chocolate chip cookies that I've ever had! Such a cute shop too and loved the staff! Will return for sure!
A sudden yen for a salted oats cookie with a chilled glass of milk? Double chocolate chip cookie? How about an ice cream sandwich with gelato from Il Lab? Then you need to visit a special bakery café where one can even learn how to make cookies. Milk & Cookies bakery is located on Commerce Street, a tree lined street off Seventh Avenue South. Owned and helmed by Tina Casaceli, this CIA trained chef was formerly the Director of Pastry & Bread Arts at The International Culinary Center and knows a thing or two about how to make a flavorful cookie. With a cult following and tour groups stopping to munch on cookies weekly, this is a place that should be a must-visit on your bucket list. I have sampled all the cookies and do like the salted oats and the butter cookie.
What will become your favorite?
This place is hidden in the West Village. It's a tiny little place on a side street you would only know about if someone told you. However it is worth it! The ice cream cookie sandwiches are huge so you definitely get what you pay for.
Chocolate mint cookie and the cookie with sea salt!! Pure bliss!
One of the best memory my 6 year old son has of NYC.
You can't go wrong with the chocolate mint or the snickerdoodle cookies.
No complaints here! Who wants a double chocolate chip cookie where you can barely taste the chocolate? If you like this type of cookie, Milk & Cookies is for you!
Blame my neverending adoration for sugar but DC could use a variation on the dessert destinations. Cupcakes with a side of Range Rover are nice but we need a new game in town. The West Village’s Milk & Cookies suits my no-fuss tastes just fine. This simpl
We just managed to go there before heading back to Europe. When you enter the place you are met with an amazing perfume of freshly baked cookies. It was really an amazing little place. I wanted to find one of the best cookies in NUC, and I think I did. We bought the cookies to take away with us on the flight back home. We enjoyed them the next day in Denmark. They make really good cookies, better than what you get in Denmark.
More people should know about this place.
The cookie sandwich i bought cost $7, and it was a lot of food. Im a large man. This is not a snack. The ingredients are high quality and everything is large portioned and well made. Quite frankly, $7 is a steal compared to other gourmet bakery goods in manhattan.
The other items in the bakery seem more common and maybe more typically nyc-priced $$ (4.75 brownies) but they look good.
What really sold me though, was that this place is in the middle of nowhere. A sleepy side street with nothing on it. There was nobody inside when i went. It felt like a secret. And the service was lovely, and so helpful. She gave a great recommendation.
I found this location on instagram. It looks good, tastes better. More people should go.
Top notch ice cream sandwich spot tucked away in the village. They make their cookies fresh in the store and have tons of different flavors. Choose any two that tickle your fancy and pick out one of their incredible ice cream flavors to go between them. It's not for the faint of heart, so try to go on a close to empty stomach. It's pretty inexpensive for how much food you get. Treat yoself.
One of the best places in NYC for dessert. I got the chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream sandwich. I couldn't even finish half of it and it's only $7. So one sandwich is good for 2 people. Will visit as often as I have the chance.
These cookies could only be made by someone with tons of experience. The owner is very knowledgeable and values customer service.
I’ve tried Schmackary’s, Mah Ze Dahr Bakery, Dominique Ansel Bakery , Baked, Breads Bakery, Milk Bar, Jacques Torres, Bang! Cookies and tons of other chocolate chip cookies across the city. These are right there at the top. Do yourself a favor and stop in. I tried the Salted Oats, S’mores, and Caramel Chocolate Chip. The Caramel Chocolate Chip was my favorite, but all were exceptional. I will be back!
It was cold, it was rainy, it was windy, it was a Chocolate Chip cookie that soft, gooey, warm, and the size of a small child's face. And just as good. I'm a little lactose intolerant but it would be worth the pain for a glass and another cookie. It was that goo.
Best cookie cakes in the city! I have been ordering them here for nearly a decade and they never disappoint! Also amazing cookie flavors in general. It’s a gem.
Seriously one of the most underrated cookie shops in NYC. I’m never disappointed by their flavors. High recommend getting an ice cream sandwich!
Cute little shop with homemade cookies. I tried an ice cream sandwich double chocolate cookie with vanilla ice cream rolledin to M&Ms. They had all kinds of cookies and even an icecream sandwich menu. I loved the cookies.
Been going here for years since it started. I've seen the business change owners/employees and have seen dips in service, but I have to say the product overall has been great. In NYC, it is the cookie that feels closest to being homemade. Reasonably-sized cookies are slightly soft in the center and is more solid to crispy toward the edges. I like they always offer a number of cookie types. My faves are sugar, white chocolate macademia, snickerdoodle. Definitely check this place out.
