The food is excellent and the seafood paella is mine and my husband's favorite. We also love to get a pitcher of the white sangria, so refreshing. The service is always excellent as well, and somehow it is never too crowded to seat us. This is our favorite paella place in NYC. Highly recommend. I also just tried their Tartufo the other night and it was made extra special.

My group ordered the squid ink calamari, chicken liver, and the Paella Valencia. I rate the value of this place extremely well. You get a large amount of food for the mains and the cost is surprisingly decent for a place in Manhattan nowadays. The constant flow of toasted bread was very appreciated to mop up the delicious sauces. All the food tasted very good and it would take me forever to describe each dish. The service was amazing, I could literally not drink my cup of water even a tiny bit past half the glass before it would be filled up. I assume that I would need to chug it in 1 gulp in order to not half it full for a second. The atmosphere is intimate and good for dates, while also being chill for groups of friends or family. It has an old school vibe with its decor. The worker are friendly and warm. I highly recommend everyone try this amazing old school restaurant out.

Last time I ate here must have been almost 30 years ago. This mainstay is just as good as I remember albeit pricier and with smaller portions. We had the catch of the day which happened to be cod, paella Negra, Arroz con Pollo, and pork cheek! Appetizers were pulpo estilo feria & mussels! The dishes were full of flavor, fresh and distinctly El pote! Do try out this spot that's a bit out of the way but worth the trek!

my father who worked in the UN (not a diplomat fat cat, but an engineer and economist from a hard working family), he would take me here on my birthday. what a man. i adored him, and still do even though he’s passed so loon ago. i still go now and then with my mom and family. one of the waiters was able to buy the business and persevered through good and bad years. that’s the way it’s supposed to be. it’s been there since the 1970’s? 1980’s? no small feat for a nyc restaurant. the food is delicious. the atmosphere is so pleasant, real, and very new york. nothing fancy, just a place for a good, honest paella and sangria. not cheap but not expensive. love this place.

We celebrated Valentine's Day here in style. Caracoles. Paella Valencia (lobster added). Sangria. The ambiance. Service and food were just perfect for our night. We are so lucky to have them in our neighborhood. They have great happy hour specials too.

The Black Rice with Seafood is a must! Marciscada was excellent. Chicken Sauteed with Lemon and Garlic was delicious. Can't decided which was better! Service was friendly and efficient. We will be back.

Incredible! We had a party of 10 and the service was very accommodative on a short notice. The mushroom croquettes was a super delicious appetizer and highly recommend. Also highly recommend the squid ink paella. Very rich in flavor and lots of seafood.

For a place that doesn’t look so appealing from the outside, well worth the visit for what’s in the inside! Absolutely delicious plates to share, great desserts, and very friendly staff! We tried the lemon marinated artichoke hearts and marina paella, both were well seasoned and delicious. Taramiso cake slices were great as well!

Split a paella negra between 2 people, and it was enough to fill both of us. The restaurant was very nice about it, and they served us two identical paella portions on separate plates, making sure we each got some pieces of clam, scallop, shrimp, etc. I liked the flavours in the paella, and there was a decent amount of seafood, but I wish it came with more veggies.
