Really happy to have crossed this of my bucket list. Tom's Restaurant has a historical significance for me as a Seinfeld fan.
Besides that, the food was delicious - try "Jerry's Salad", and the hospitality of the staff exceeded my expectations.

Title: A Classic Delight at Tom's Restaurant: A Seinfeld Experience
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Tom's Restaurant in New York City, and as a fan of Seinfeld, it was an experience filled with nostalgia and culinary delight. Located on the corner of West 112th Street and Broadway, this iconic eatery has been serving up delicious meals since 1940, and it truly lives up to its reputation.
Atmosphere:
Stepping inside Tom's Restaurant felt like entering the pages of a Seinfeld episode. The walls adorned with quirky memorabilia and familiar photographs instantly transported me back to the beloved sitcom. The cozy and vibrant interior, combined with the buzzing energy of fellow diners, created an atmosphere that was both comfortable and lively.
Service:
The staff at Tom's Restaurant were friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Despite the restaurant being busy on a Friday night, our server greeted us with a warm smile and promptly took our orders. Throughout our meal, they ensured that we had everything we needed, and their attention to detail added to the overall positive experience.
Food:
Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food! Tom's Restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring classic American comfort food, and we indulged in a variety of dishes. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, satisfying even the most discerning burger connoisseur. The pancakes were fluffy and accompanied by a generous serving of maple syrup, making for a delightful breakfast-for-dinner experience. As for the mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers, they were crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with a side of tangy dipping sauces that enhanced their taste.
Value:
Considering the quality and portion sizes, the prices at Tom's Restaurant were reasonable, aligning with the average prices in the area. The affordability of the meals made the dining experience even more enjoyable, as we left with satisfied appetites and wallets.
Conclusion:
Tom's Restaurant is not just a place to have a meal; it's an iconic New York City landmark that encapsulates the nostalgia of Seinfeld. The friendly atmosphere, attentive service, and delectable food make it a must-visit for both fans of the show and food enthusiasts alike. Whether you're craving a burger, pancakes, or a taste of the Seinfeld universe, Tom's Restaurant will not disappoint. Make sure to visit, and prepare to create your own memorable dining experience.
Remember, "No soup for you!"
I have been visiting Tom's for a while when I'm in Morningside Heights. The service and ambiance are excellent. The food is pretty darn good, but it's my only reason for leaving four instead of five stars. Tom's has typical NYC or even slightly higher prices. I know the place is a draw because it's the "Seinfeld" restaurant. Again, I like the food there, but I just can't give it five stars. Tom's is an excellent spot to drop into after you're done walking around Columbia and checking out St. John's.
Loved the place. It still keeps the original style of dinners vibe from the early 80's Memorabilia of Seinfeld us nice. The food was good and not expensive.
This is the famous restaurant from Seinfeld. The food is pretty tasty and reasonably priced. Sandwiches are as low as $9 and are decent sized. The milk shake is good for even 3 people. The mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers are a great appetizer. The hot pastrami, spinach omelette and eggs Benedict were great.
Tom's Diner is an amazing place that offers the best NYC neighborhood diner experience. One of my favorites here is the hot coffee served in a cup that never goes dry or gets cold, which is perfect for coffee lovers like me. In addition, they have not just one, but two bathrooms for customers, ensuring convenience and comfort during visits. The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient, providing excellent service. And let's not forget about the food - it is absolutely delicious. Overall, Tom's Diner is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable and satisfying dining experience.
Came here for breakfast on a Saturday because it’s “the Seinfeld diner!!” The food was a great deal and the staff were so nice. The walls have cool posters and media related to Seinfeld. It’s a super convenient location to get to (aka accessible by subway, as tourists) and the food came very fast.
Although the interior isn’t like the show, they lean into the Seinfeld connection well. Nice staff and very good food! Tuna melt was amazing!!!
If you're a Seinfeld fan they have super cool memorabilia all around! If you like good food and portions, they've got you covered too! Ordered the Gyro Sandwich and it was great! Really wonderful staff, they know what you need before you even have a chance to ask. Definitely recommend!
