Awesome ambience, dim mood lighting at the bar with knowledgeable and fun bartending staff preparing beautiful drinks directly in front of you. We ordered the Seoul Mate and Osamil Cocktail and both were delicious - one was strawberry and the other grapefruit. Their wings appetizer was also delicious and a good serving size for two people to share over drinks.

Everything at @osamilnyc was super delicious! We booked for 5pm but the restaurant filled up pretty fast. These were definitely too much for 2 people - either just the soup + an appetizer, or 3 small plates would have been plenty of food. I have to go back to try their pretty drinks and other good eats!

It’s definitely a nice Korean American pub restaurant. Some Items are on the spicier side without indication. Definitely a metro area w/metro area prices. Overall great experience. This is somewhere to show friends a nice and Asian American retro style.

This review is for the upstairs cocktail bar. Busy so get a reservation and definitely come on time. The menu is adventurous, but the drinks are very well crafted. Perfect for a date night or for a decent sized group of friends

I was looking forward to trying the interesting dishes at Osamil. We ordered a lot of food and ended up absolutely stuffed. Overall I didn't love any of the dishes I had here, but it's also just not in my taste palette. The pork shank is massive. It was not super tender and had a pretty porky flavor. Overall I didn't love this but it was fine and came with a lot of veggie sides. The rose seafood ddukbokki was very creamy with (maybe too soft) rice cakes. The shrimp was plump and tender and the squid was good. The mussels were tasty as well. Overall I don't tend to love creamy things but the seafood in this dish was good. The jjukkumi (baby octopus) was not my favorite preparation of jjukkumi. The sauce was pretty sweet and there was a lot of filler that was just hard cabbage. There was a crispy onion thing that was pretty good. I wanted to like the clam tang more than I did. It didn't feel super fresh/clean. There were a lot of clams of different sizes and I think they were a tiny bit overcooked and chewy. The broth was pretty tasty though a bit murky. It was nice to have a soup to balance the other dishes we got. We also got a couple of drinks. The presentation of Cloud 9 was totally unexpected. The drink itself was pretty strong but otherwise unremarkable. Overall it was interesting to see the interesting twists they put on Korean dishes. The restaurant was bustling on a Friday evening with closely packed tables and had good vibes overall. The food just wasn't quite my cup of tea.

I recommend getting at least a group of four for most of the menu. If alone, stick to side dishes. I really liked the sweet potato fries (moist on the inside, crisp on the outside), the fried chicken (lol the same), the fried rice (perfect medium rare steak), the jeon (stuffed well and stretchy but not doughy), and the gambas (Spanish fusion elevated by Korean heat). I also highly highly recommend the cocktails. All of them are gorgeous and balanced. Start with the NA-Bee if you want to start somewhere.

Cute little place for big flavor hits. Knew their pork shank for ages and finally came to try with a friend. Ordered the Seafood rose rice cake and also the pork shank. Portions for very big for two gals and we didn’t finish, but it doesn’t mean that the flavors weren’t there. The seafood rose rice cake contain a subtle bit of rose flavor, yet the sauce is cream and cheesy. There are a ton of mussel and squid and rice cakes, topped with fried scallions(or green onions) with shreds of cheese - what more can you ask. The pork shank is huuuuuuge. It is cooked to tender and the pork skin is full of collagen and it is jiggly on the bone. I absolutely loved the meat by the bone - with some portions of lean and some portions of fat and collagen. With one bite, you have the whole package. The sauce is a bit on the saltier side, but it comes with lettuces, and a ton of pickled small dishes to save me from feeling greasy. The drink is also yummy. Didn’t try their signature cocktail but tried their mocktail Good Drank. Refreshing to pair with all the creamy seafood rice cakes and indulgent pork shank. The seatings for 2 are pretty tight with other seatings. I say it is great for dates (if you don’t mind rubbing elbows with your neighbors). Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Left with great impression and didn’t disappoint for their pork shank.

Their happy hour deal was awesome! (1/2 dozen fresh oyster for $9 until 7pm). We ordered salad, skewers and the lamb chops from the grill. Everything was tasty and so flavorful!

I stopped here for happy hour so I did not have any of the main dishes however the food and drinks I did try were delicious. The fried squid was perfectly crispy and not over seasoned. It was paired with a gochujang sauce which was more on the sweet than spicy side but still good. They also have a miso sauce but I prefer gochujang so stuck with that. We also ordered the fried wings both the salt and pepper and the spicy! I definitely preferred the salt and pepper another perfectly seasoned and crisp wing that paired wel with the gochujang sauce. The spicy wing was not spicy at all. It was closer to a teriyaki flavor but still delicious. I tried the Omasil drink which was not heavy on the alcohol and the pinky promise which was more delicious in my opinion. The onasil is very beautiful but I would probably choose the pinky promise for flavor. Staff was very kind and the atmosphere was dim and intimate despite it being fairly packed it wasn’t too loud for conversation at all. We spent about $60 per person. I would come back and try the mains.

Difficult to get a reservation but once you grab one you’re lucky! Delicious variety of food, and I will definitely revisit! Highly recommend for a step up dining from the usual Ktown fare. Great service, and the server was kind enough to help us cut the whole chicken we ordered.
