What gem. Found it by accident and now a must go to place
If you like small European style restaurants with a cozy and quaint atmosphere with good food, this place is for you. Healthy vegetarian plates are available and all very reasonably priced.
Wine & Small Plates- Not Dinner. SMALL! Don't make plans to come here for dinner... it's not that kind of place. What kind of place is it? A perfect place for a bottle of wine and a snack. Or an esspresso and a sandwich. The food is great but when they say small plates they mean small plates. There are only a couple of tables for four and a long bar for six. Not the spot to go with a group.
Great homemade prepacked gelato and sorbets with some really good looking and delicious pizzas. It is to go but there are some seats just outside. Prices are decent and they also have plenty of salads and pasta options. Will definitely come back.
They also have a nice coffee collection and assorted canned drinks for sale.
Really pricey at $5 a slice.
Soft, puffy, tasty focaccia type crust.
Very good sauce flavor.
Cheese should be cooked more.
Coverage is a bit skimpy.. too much crust.

Food was delicious, we ordered warm pasta and pizza. Really affordable for the great quality and Location.
The best pizza I’ve eaten in New York. People rave about Bleecker Street, but this is far superior - that is far too cheesy and very bland in comparison. Much better sauce to topping ratio, super fresh ingredients and authentic taste and flavour combos. So happy I found this spot.
Hey there, allow me to take a moment to tell you how awesome my experience was at IL Baretto today. Firstly, the eatery was very clean and well organized, the cashier was welcoming, polite and informative, he (Alberto Tartari) was more than willing to recommend a few items which I was more than happy to try. I love pizza alot and have tried alot from places like Domino's, Little Ceasar, Pizza Hut, and Papa John's but today I can confidently tell you that I tried the BEST PIZZA IN NYC. lol
That said, if you looking to have a good time and just experience an authentic Italian flavors in Pizza, Sandwiches, Salads and even desserts, feel free to stop by IL Baretto anytime, I know for sure that I will be going back. 😉

Delicious pizza, outstanding crust, served with love (very often by the owner)
Love love this simple Italian home cooking. The simplest food is the best. I had octopus with salad (picture below) It’s just so delicious and healthy. The ‘ear’ pasta is al dente and tasty.
The place is casual and small so it’s better to make reservation. Very popular among the locals, it had outdoor seating.
I have yet to try their wine collections. Can’t wait to go back.
Real deal Italian. Everything is imported, scratch made fresh daily. Some of the best food in the area, hands down. Gooooo!!
