Came with my sister and we enjoyed our meal. The waiter kept uncomfortably remarking on the fact that I don’t drink, but the food was delicious. This restaurant is more conservative than trendy, but it’s in a historic hotel and was still a pleasant experience. On a Sunday evening, we didn’t need to dress up too much. We had the pink pavlova for dessert which was fun and delicious.
First hours back in the states and we got settled in our NYC hotel, we or I needed a drink. After walking around a bit we stumbled into a Hotel Bar the Perrine. It's beautiful inside, the barkeep greeted us with a smile and a menu. I ordered a Kettle One martini up with a twist. My love ordered an Oh my gatto, aka kitty. Hendrix Gin with lime and cucumber. It was delicious. One of my favorite things is sitting at a quite bar, having a drink with you my love. We got to spend an amazing time together on our trip and what's more...we're going to make it a forever thing. I can't wait to say I do...to you and to our love. Here's to all the drinks, in all the bars, in all the times to come. Kissaa💋🖤
Love eating here . The steak was so good . Probably the best steak I ever had .
I can’t believe this place is not more busy . This is a very underrated restaurant. This place deserves people lining out the door .
Had dessert another time , that was fantastic as well .
( wish the merchant code was Resturant so I could get 4x points eating here with my Amex Gold Card)
After visiting the MET Museum, we stopped for a snack. It quickly became apparent that it was a restaurant in a 5-star hotel. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Since we were already there, we had "The Pierre Burger" for lunch. It was beautifully presented and truly delicious. We also ordered a Californian Cabernet Sauvignon to accompany it, which did not disappoint.
What left us dissatisfied:
- The wine isn't poured to the brim of the glass; it's not water.
- When ordering a bottle of wine, it's unacceptable to be billed for four glasses at an elevated price.
- Given the status of being a 5-star hotel, there should be a heightened awareness of proper serving etiquette.
best kept discreet spot for an upscale dining experience.Lunch
is just as enjoyable as dinner
Excellent service and wonderful food at Perrine! I went in as a solo female diner and they made me feel very welcome. When the food was ready, a small group of guys came and presented the food with a flourish, and made a bit of a fuss over me, in a very friendly way. Then they left me alone to enjoy the meal. It was perfectly done! I had the Malabar shrimp curry, tasty with complex flavors.
Pasta was well prepared with excellent flavor. Service was amazing. Great wine selections. Timing was good. We were rushed and they made it happen. All good with the waiter being the best.
My sister and I were visiting New York .We had breakfast here and it was wonderful! The service was impeccable. The atmosphere was warm and professional. All my flatware matched ! I love that! Can't wait to stay in the hotel. This restaurant is inside the Pierre. My next visit to New York. I will definitely be coming back for breakfast and tea!
Classy decor, great customer service. The best sukkotash I ever had. Filet mignon was average, I felt the white and orange sauce wasn't really compatible with the meat. Fresh shrimp platter was great (but tomato salsa sauce could be more tangy). Octopus salad was a delight!
The restaurant manager (who lives in Brooklyn) is friendly and down-to-earths to the guests, also not arrogant like other upscale restaurants. Highly recommend visiting!
Perrine is everything a lovely restaurant should be; quiet, serene, with friendly but professional service; the menu includes an elevated burger, seasonal dishes like pasta with truffles, and the option to have fish or steak cooked to order. We learned about Perrine on Travelzoo. Showing up with our voucher the maitre'd' was gracious as was our waiter. I love seeing a room where at every table the diners seemed happy, enjoying their food and the kind of evening out which elevates the idea of going out to dinner. It was a wonderful experience.
