the Igloos at Salon de Ning. Fun but expensive but private - we were party of 9 but this would be romantic for 2 since the Igloos are not terribly large and more on the intimate side. We had a wonderful time and everything was great but I think I would prefer next time just the bar which is small and cozy.
Jason was beyond wonderful and accommodating from beginning to end! thank you so much.
Our sever Luis was fantastic. Average rooftop views. The drinks and small bites are fantastic but very expensive ($29/drink) for a small plates. Pro tip: if you don’t have a reservation, get there just before opening, they will most likely have something. But it does fill up quickly.
Lovely spot for a rooftop/terrace cocktail (although pricey at $29 per drink - even for zero-proof). The staff is fantastic and incredible warm and welcoming. The food options are quite limited with the highlights being a $35 shrimp cocktail and $29 vegetable & hummus dip. Recommend for a fun place to have a drink outside during the summer, but don’t come hungry!
We were there because we had a Coupon which one of us got as a present from friends. The Prices want to be high class so every cocktail starts with 29$ but over all it was an amazing experience.
Recently visited Salon de Ning, the enchanting rooftop gem atop the Peninsula Hotel in New York. Although we were accepted as walk-ins, we were initially seated indoors while awaiting an outdoor table. Unfortunately, the transition took longer than expected.
The view offers a panoramic slice of the city skyline that is nothing short of amazing. However, the plates left us wanting more; portions could be a tad heartier.
Service was satisfactory, with attentive staff consistently checking if all was well. Perfect for a leisurely afternoon with a stunning view of the 5th Ave.
The Peninsula New York hotel has a rooftop bar its name "Salon de Ning" I obviously have way too much free time.
Here is a little background "Salon de Ning is inspired by the tale of Madame Ning, a celebrated Shanghai socialite, avid world traveller and international hostess... Ning was a tireless collector of objets sourced during her journeys and her elegant 1930s-era New York penthouse inspired the eclectic design of Salon de Ning.. upon arrival on the 23rd floor, guests pass through a corridor adorned with Venetian mirrors and intricately carved Chinese screens leading to a glass-.." It ends there. Luckily I've been to Salon de Ning and can attest to the intriguing entry. As far as the bar goes, it's high quality. Go here when the weather is nice - the terrace is the place to be IMO. Enjoy the view. Excellent service
Lovely spot with great service and stiff drinks. Sometimes hard to get a seat but worth the trip for the view alone.
This is hands down the best and most sophisticated rooftop bar in Manhattan. It‘s small, rather intimate, with a fantastic view over 5th Ave and has the absolute best bar team ever! Whenever I am in the city I make sure I go there for a drink. You won‘t find a better bar-crew elsewhere!
Just stopped in for a drink and the cocktails ($29 each) were great. Beautiful hotel and bar with great views and a cozy atmosphere!
We wanted to go to a rooftop in the area and stumbled across Salon de Ning. The views are nice and the drinks are good.
This place runs on the pricier side - about $30 per drink.
