Amazing beer spot in the neighborhood. All the staff really make the whole experience 5 stars. Everyone is friendly and super knowledgeable about each and every beer. Love the food! Def a fave spot for my husband and I!
I love Valhalla. I visited for lunch and they have an awesome beer/lunch special. I ordered the sliders. Amazing quality meat cooked perfectly for me. They have different sauces as well. The beer was perfect temperature and the server had a smile. I will be visiting this place often from now on. I really enjoyed the atmosphere.
My favorite bar in Hell's Kitchen. The beer collection is great and the atmosphere is warm, cozy, and happening. With a combination of Rock and pop music there are televisions with baseball on them. I love their Wheat beer collection and sours. The food is great but I feel it's a little overpriced.
My husband and I enjoyed a few quiet drinks here one Tuesday evening. The staff were friendly and the drinks were very reasonable. $35 for 3 pints of lager and 2 well drinks (vodka and cokes). They have regular happy hours and the atmosphere was good. We’d definitely return. The food that was coming out looked very tasty although we’d already eaten.
It is a very nice bar. It could be loud and crowded on weekends, but it just shows how popular it is. Good food, friendly and helpful staff, good selection of drinks.
Special call out for bartender cocktails - we tried only one (Grinch margarita?) but it was great: taste, composition and well into season's spirit. Respect.
Great selection of beers on tap, frequently updated so there's always something new. Very relaxed atmosphere.
We stopped here before heading to a show at Terminal 5 and really enjoyed our time here. It was exactly what we were looking for: a bar with quick food and an extensive drink menu. Lots of unique beers on tap as well as some fun cocktails. Would definitely come back again.
When I’m this area, this is my go to bar. Incredible food, and a great selection of beers! I personally really like how they have a huge selection of sour beers, which I find is hard to come by. Great selection of other beers too. Really cool atmosphere as well. Highly recommend if you’re bar hopping or looking for a cool spot to enjoy a beer and watch a baseball game.
If you’re looking for a down-to-earth, fairly priced, and cozy bar in Hell’s Kitchen, you’ll love Valhalla.
Not only is the staff always friendly, but they have plenty of table and seating options for one person all the way up to large groups.
And to round it out, you’ll find a large selection (48 according to their website) of craft and unique beers. Many are on tap!
I highly recommend you check it out if you’re in the Midtown Manhattan area, but here’s a full review if you want to learn more about Valhalla. 👇
As mentioned, the staff here is fantastic. They can be down for a good chat on a slow night but always are on top of service even on busy nights.
What I love most about Valhalla is the interior. As the name might suggest, it def has a “rustic Vikings” vibe.
Unique decor, plenty of TVs, and nice bathrooms (by bar standards) round everything out nicely.
Valhalla generally has the “main” sports games on. So if you’re looking or somewhere to watch Monday Night Football (for example), it’ll likely be showing here! It really is a super fun bar spot!
We’ve even shown up with groups of 10-12 and typically haven’t had a problem finding a spot. That’s more true in the Summer when there’s outdoor seating available.
And now for Valhalla’s food, which we’ve enjoyed every time we’ve been! ⬇
The food is ACTUALLY delicious.
We’ve tried many of Valhalla’s menu items, and here are some we’ve loved:
Chicken wings
Bavarian pretzels (this is our favorite)
Hand-cut fries
Mozzarella sticks
Bratwurst (better than expected)
Sliders
We haven’t had any food from Valhalla that we didn’t like…
AND, the same goes for the drinks. 🍻
Valhalla is a beer bar, so don’t expect anything extraordinarily unique or fancy in the cocktails realm.
But their beer selection is absolutely phenomenal.
They carry lots of craft beers, local brews, and even imported drafts. Here are some of the favorites we’ve had at Valhalla:
Mead flight (this is where we first tried Mead and fell in love with it)
Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier
Delirium Tremens (classic option)
Bolero Snort Fruity Pebbulls
14 Star Maple Breakfast Stout
Brooklyn Pulp Art
… Just to name a few 🍺
Most of their draft beers range from $10-$12, on par for NYC.
Valhalla really has a local bar feel, that’s sometimes rare in NYC.
Their beer selection is massive, the food is well above average, and you can always catch the game here!
It was my first time coming here. The bartender George was very friendly and professional. The location was great. I even found parking right in front of the place. The only thing I would say makes this place better is the food isn't that great
What a great place. Where every man or woman would want to go if they die in battle, for a cold beer and some good food. Great beer selection, food was good. Service was good. Will be back! Thanks!
They got 48 draft beers plus 40 different kinds of bottles, nice bartenders and good environment. It's not one of those dark pubs...I haven't tried the food I that time but the menu looks cool as well
