The first thing we were served was corn bread with chipotle butter. From that alone, we knew our meal would be memorable. And when we ate the pasta with corn and (corn) tiramisu, we were in absolute heaven. Could this meal get any better? One bite of the salmon with dill and guacamole and the answer was yes, this meal got better and better with every bite. Can't wait to go back for their Fall menu.
First time here for anniversary day, I booked reservation from online and put details to surprise my boyfriend and staff already know the details when me and my boyfriend at restaurant. finally they made our day by decor "happy anniversary" on plate of dessert! Excellent food, service and amazing place ever! and also wonderful memories here. Thank you all staff and owner for made place like this so adorable.
Updated for wine week 2019: same excellent food, same excellent value! The wine pours are generous - we were seven people and went through a bottle of wine at a time (so essentially we had ten bottles for $20x7=$140)
Must visit!
My 2018 review:
Had an amazing experience for wine week. Appetizers, entrees, and 10 wines for $20 were all amazing. The staff was extremely helpful and even was able to get us a charcuterie plate - even though it wasn’t on the menu. Highly recommended.
How does this place not have a Michelin star yet? Had a fabulous dinner at Park Avenue Winter during restaurant week. We were a party of 6 and were seated in the main dining area. From the time we walked in the ambiance, service and the buzzing vibe were all amazing. We went for the restaurant week menu. We got to taste a bit of everything. Crab cake in the appetizer was delicious. Pumpkin ravioli was such a treat..great sauce and flavors. We also tasted the burrata and was delicious. Another friend tried the steak tartare and raved about it. For mains we tried the halibut and short ribs. Halibut was flaky and very flavorful. We got complimentary focaccia bread and truffled potato croquettes for the table. We added on some truffle fries as well. For dessert we tried creme brulee, ornament dessert, sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. Creme brulee was the star of the evening, and the ornament was the best looking dessert. Toffee pudding was nice and warm too. We enjoyed our meal and had some leftovers too. Such an amazing time.
Alex is the best waiter! We had an amazing girls brunch here. We couldn’t stop with the monkey bread and mimosas.
We were here during winter and the decor was so cool and classy. Would love to come back for the other seasons ASAP!
Beautiful, huge space with some nice dining options. I was a huge fan of the maple chipotle butter that came with the cornbread for the table. Some very original ideas here in addition to that butter, like the “pastrami,” which was in fact seasoned watermelon. The desserts were really impressive - definitely save room! Which won’t be easy because the portions are filling. I was told by a member of my party that the ahi tuna appetizer was to die for. I loved the lobster Mac and cheese - very crispy, as well as my refreshing dessert. Knowledgeable staff.
Came for restaurant week winter '19. Been wanting to try out this place for awhile. Was excellent! Incredibly kind and attentive waiter. Even when they said they ran out of the bread pudding dessert I had my heart set on they still managed to find me half of one along with 2 extra desserts, so we had 4 to the table 😁. The decorations felt like a white winter cozy forest and the scene was young and hip. Definitely seemed like a great happy hour spot at the bar, place to catch up with friends or a great date place. Ordered crab cake, pork shoulder and bread pudding...yummy 😍.
Great Sunday brunch. We ordered from prix fixe menue. The portions might seem small, but it was enough. Tasty bottomless prosecco. Very good service, and beautiful ambiance. The restaurant is big groups fmand well behaved kids friendly. :)
Love this restaurant ! Really good hype and atmosphere!
Came here for the spring them. Their bread and butter was soooo unique and delicious that I can eat all day! The cocktail was also pretty good, on the strong side actually. We got duck breaks and sea bass among us. Pretty good but not fantastic.
Great service throughout.
A nice spot to celebrate a little. Worth coming once in a while I guess
I visited for lunch on Friday during the summer restaurant week. I really liked the interior decoration with lots of flowers and plants.
.
Food was good as well. Corn Gnocci and Yellowfin Tuna Tartare for appetizer and Branzino for main course. We had Toasted Coconut Creme Burlee for dessert and it was definitely my favorite.
This was a pleasant dining experience. The first thing that hits you is of course the very elaborate decor. As with the name of the restaurant and menu it changes with the seasons.
We started off with an amuse bouche of 2 small arancini and some green focaccia bread. The bread was a little dry though.
For the starters I had the truffle and porcini toast and my husband had the charred octopus. Both were very tasty, though I do wish people wouldn't actually char food as it always tastes burnt to me.
For the main course I had the rabbit wellington and my husband had the pork Schnitzel. They were a contrast in portion sizes though. The rabbit wellingtons were little rolls of pastry stuffed with rabbit meat whereas the Schnitzel was a hulking slab with loads of sauerkraut on the side. Both were yummy if a little uneven in their serving sizes.
For dessert we had the black forest gateaux for two, very yummy with lots of different textures and great presentation.
The noise levels weren't too bad, having to raise our voices slightly over the music, more foreground than background.
Will have to go back at some point either for brunch or the next season's menu.
Update: We came here again, with a friend, to see what the Autumn version of the restaurant was like in 2018. The food was again very well done and they also have a $65 prize fixe after 8:30pm with wine tasting. Recommended for the alcoholics out there. 😁
Remarkable experience. Very upscale restaurant with great winter decoration, excellent service, great creative food and cocktails. We enjoyed the bar and the restaurant. They were also generous with free pumpkin bread and chocolate truffles with cheese.
