Our reviews had over 37 million views last year. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really loved Breads Bakery. This is the only location that has the black and white croissant cookie. It is more croissant than cookie but OMG is it great. We love their coffees and the almond croissant is perfection. Highly recommend this location over all the others due to the black and white croissant cookie item. Check out all of our reviews. Fantastic bakery! Their croissant is among the top I’ve had in the city. I tried the cinnamon bun and LOVED it. Their chocolate babkas are delicious too. Service is so fast and friendly with seating available. Highly recommend!
Halloween update-
Cocoa skull can be skipped. Least favorite out of all their baked goods. Was on the dried/not buttery side, texture closer to black bread then croissant. BUT I think they have the best croissant on the UES. They bake on premise, so the pastries are super fresh and possibly warm 🤤
Just had a warm pain au chocolat. HEAVEN.
The savory baked goods are also very good and worth trying.
Go-to place for Classic croissant, almond croissant, black and white cookie, cinnamon rolls (made with their croissant dough) and now pain au chocolat.
They are just that good.
Love this bakery! I try to stop in everytime I’m in the city. Very fresh, high turn over on products. Good varieties of tea. Love my lattes!
best croissant i’ve EVER had! i got the chocolate almond and WOW! words can’t describe it.
My favorite bakery 😋
Amazing pastries, Wow perfect 👌
Have 4 flavors for Hanuka donuts
This was my home bakery when I lived on the UES. Over the years I've probably tried every item. The cheesecake babka is my desert island dessert.
The black and white cookie is great (especially if you share it).
I also like the marble rye ... But you really can't go wrong with anything here.
A great new bakery on the upper east side. Spotlessly Clean, Very Polite Staff and amazingly good food. Their olive rolls are to die for. Their cheese straws are light like a feather. Their scrambled egg in either a sesame or poppyseed roll is most delicious, and they always ask you if you would like it heated up and they wrap it in silver foil to keep it warm. I love their avocado toast on a very thin sliced brown bread and decorated with super thinly sliced radish and watercress. They also make elegant smoked salmon open sandwiches.on a very thin brown bread with cream cheese. Five Stars *****
They have plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. They also do deliciously tasting fresh hibiscus iced tea and great loafs of Lemon Cake. Truly Five Star *****
We sought out Breads Bakery for their elusive version of the black + white cookie. I say elusive because we walked all over NYC before discovering that their upper east side location is the only one that sells it.
Their take on the black + white is interesting.. not too sweet and a cup of black coffee helps enhance the chocolate portion of the cookie.
It wasn't busy at the hour we visited. There was plenty of seating. Clean. The service was friendly.
The toilet in the bathroom wouldn't flush.
I like that this bakery and cafe on 3rd and 74th have indoor and outdoor seating. On days when you just want to enjoy your warm beverage outside, the seating outside is just great. This was Maison Kayser before and they seem to have carried on with the goodness. Great pastries etc. Nothing outstanding but it is a convenient on this part of 3rd on UES.
