I did take out a slice of maroon and green tea crepe cake. So far, it was the most satisfying dessert in NYC to me (Magnolia and Junior's were not my favourite). LOVED Marron as it is full of chestnut flavour. Green tea cake also had a very strong matcha flavour, so it was also great. Crepes taste a bit eggy though. As most of you know, "it is not too sweet" is the best compliment to a dessert in Asian culture. It was flavorful, fluffy, and not too sweet. Will visit before I leave NYC!
* edit: I stopped by again today. The champagne cake had a hint of strawberry flavour, and the top gelatine jelly added great texture to it. The Pistachio cake had a great flavour- natural pistachio flavour. I felt like both champagne and pistachio were a bit sweeter than other flavours. Tiramisu had a strong coffee flavour, and it was the sweetest among other flavours.
My favourites were Marron > Champagne > Pitstahcio/Matcha > Tiramisu
I went here with my friend in the afternoon around 4pm but it was already packed inside. It didn't take us so long to have a seat (luckily). This bakery boutique is small but cozy and neat. We were so full after lunch, so didn't have a chance to try the drink, but the crepes are phenomenal. We order Pistachio crepe and Pumpkin crepe, the Pistachio one is a little bit sweeter but tastes good, not artificial. The Pumpkin one I would rate it a little higher because it's creamy, natural taste and the sweetness is perfect. If you can only order one, choose the Pumpkin or the Original.
Love coming to this shop for some sweets. We got the strawberry short cake and believe Mille Crêpes cake ( seasonal) Which was delicious because its purple yams! We also got hot and ice coffee to top it off
A monotoned colored Japanese cake store that is known for its "layered" cakes. The most famous is Monte Blanc, the chestnut layered cake. It is very good as well as its matcha layered cake. It has many flavors so we have to come back and try them.
Lady M cakes are light yet indulgent, with just the right level of subtle sweetness. So if this is your preferred flavor profile for desserts then Lady M is highly recommended.
We had a nice walk in the Bryant Park and spotted Lady M next to the park. They only served takeout on the day, but we did enjoy the Tiramisu and green tea layers in the park. The third picture is the popcorn flavor.
A few days ago, I finally dined in the Lady M Cake Boutique for the very first time since the pandemic. I was really excited to see that they reopened the indoor seatings although they stop allowing indoor seatings about 1 hour prior to the COB.
My dine-in experience was great and the server was friendly and sweet. We ordered two slices of Mille crepes, including their classic green tea Mille crepe and the seasonal lavender. I highly recommend the lavender one as tastes just as great as it looks!! I love how the cake is elegantly decorated and it gives a very soft lavender tastes within each layer.
Drinks-wise, I ordered the iced rose tea latte but I personally think it's too sweet. It's a photo-worthy drinks but I'd probably just do tea next time I visit.
Overall, a nice dessert place with a great location (right across Bryant Park). The only thing is they don't have many seats so perhaps a better takeout option. And for takeouts, they're currently running out of the ice bags, so you should avoid long-hour travels after getting these cakes.
This place has many different, unique and delicious cake flavors to choose from. We chose earl grey and black sesame. Both were so good; flaky and moist. The lattes were good, too; I got the rose tea latte, and it was tasty.
Delicious dessert. Green tea mille crepes, signature mille crepes and chocolate mille crepes are our favourite. Perfect thin layer, not too sweet, everything just perfect. The place always busy and have line up, you can have option to sit down or pick up, but trust me, worth the wait. Clean, small and tidy place. A bit pricey for the portion. During my stay in New York, I came here twice and will be back for the next trip for sure.
Had to wait for a table but the hostess was very friendly. I was seated within 10 minutes and their cakes were as delicious as I remember them to be, which was 8 years ago in the exact same location! I wish this location was bigger because it is narrow and somewhat cramped inside.
