One of the nicest bars I have ever been in. Incredible and friendly staff makes out of towners feel welcome. Food is great...best shepherd's pie I have ever eaten - our waiter recommended using HB sauce on it - It made great food even better...the patches on the walls have a huge impact on visitors...Paul was great to us...If I get back to NYC, I will be sure to come back....
This place has an amazing atmosphere. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and good natured. The food was great. More ham anything though, it had the best ambience. If I lived closer, I would be a regular here. I will definitely go back when I return to NYC.
We found this little bar when we visited New York. Great, rich atmosphere. Friendly staff. Excellent veggie burger and onion rings. Guinesses is great and can recommend the Cripel horse beer.
We visited O'Haras pub after a visit in 9/11 memorial. Place is great with many stuff and photos to see from 9/11. Food was ok, we ordered burgers and chicken BBQ wings. Burgers could be better but overall it's a very good pub with nice beers and mostly great and friendly staff.
Go here. Have a pint. In the shadow of ground zero, this place survived.
Sit at the bar and talk with Tim and you'll be glad you did.
Cold beer, great atmosphere and get the French Onion Soup!
Still standing on the fringe of 911. Terrific burger. Not too many fries. Loved the beef stew for lunch. Very friendly atmosphere and staff. Nice selection of beer on tap. Note that some are more expensive than others
Good food enjoyed lunch prices not bad
Great spot to grab a pint. Can't speak for the food, but this is my favorite place to get a pint of Guinness in Manhattan. A historic Irish Pub right on ground zero that serves very fresh Guinness. Stop by and get a pint!
This place is a bar and as suck serves bar food, I love it but you have to like that sort of thing
AWESOME, I mean awesome, Fish on their fish and chips special. Beef stew was hearty and so tender and tasty with soft bread for dipping. Fantastic Pub atmosphere with out the immature fraternity stale beer smell, and great friendly service. Ask for Paul, he rocks!!!!
This place was wonderful! It is right across the road (diagonally) from the 9/11 memorial. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was friendly. The inside is covered in patches from first responders all over the United States and beyond. The area is small but it is definitely worth a trip. For just a drink or a meal!
Very solid pub food with a very cool experience. I've never experienced a pub that was so deeply engrained in fire fighter culture, but it's not that surprising when you understand its location and history. If you need a burger and a beer then it's worth a visit. Bring your local fire fighter patches for the walls (entire place is covered head to toe).
The first time I’ve ever tried a Philly streak and cheese and I was not disappointed. It’s possibly one of the tastiest things I’ve ever eaten, so O’Haras have set the bar high.
Bizarrely, the fries were terrible, but the PS&C roll gives this place a 5 star and I’ll forget the rubbish fries.
The Samuel Smith IPA was also brilliant as was the cider.
The restaurant has so much character and our server Isa was brilliant.
Very unique place with lots of history. This pub is right by the 911 memorial, and during 911 its building was damaged to the point where they had to close for several months. Today, their walls are decorated with patches of fire departments from all over the world, in recognition of the firefighters who fought and sacrificed to save lives in the aftermath of 911.
The food itself is typical bar fare and I thought it was fine, but nothing special. I would definitely recommend dropping by here to see all the firefighter patches and take in the history though.
First time visiting New York. We found this little pub and instantly fell in love with it. They have awesome food and their staff is friendly and welcoming. The most amazing part is they have patches on their walls of men and women that are in the fire department or police department. Also those that have passed on. Highly recommend this place! Will make another stop before we leave to go back home.
Enjoyed my time in this bar, really well decorated full of history. Very lively, enjoyable bar. Only
issue is it is very difficult to get a seat although we managed to get one.
We ordered food to go, sat at the bar while we had a short wait. Great food and excellent staff. Loved the atmosphere, a lot of badges from people in the service from all over the US.
We didn’t eat BUT after a long day of touring Manhattan with the kids; the missus and I needed a drink. Our lovely barmaid was a saint and made us a Black Velvet and I had a “Fighting 69th” Irish whiskey. Great atmosphere with locals & tourists. Well worth the visit. Close to the 9/11 memorial
What an absolutely amazing place! Our beef nachos were fresh, hot and delicious and the service was top notch!
My wife ordered a glass of wine and the bartender polished her glass before pouring it!! You don’t see that at a lot anymore!!
Best part was they serve Yeungling on tap!! Fresh and cold!!
5 stars!!
