My inner-foodie is obsessed with Stokehold's beer-pairing concept! They have a dish that pairs with every beer on tap. I thought it would be kind of a silly gimmick, but the chefs are incredible and put so much thought into the pairings that the beer and bite actually make each other better.
I highly recommend all foodies take part in one of their biweekly beer dinners. The chefs personally walk you through their food development process and teach you how to taste a beer and come up with the perfect flavors to pair with it. Then you have a three course meal of Port Orleans beers and Stokehold dishes. It's a delicious masterclass in drinking and eating and I am having so much fun impressing my friends by pairing delicious beers with our food the way people pair wine.
The regular menu is amazing as well. My personal favorite is the fish and chips, but every time I go they have something new they've added that I become equally obsessed with. The best part about Stokehold is that the menu is so varied that literally everyone I've brought to eat here falls in love. Seriously, I've brought my health-nut friend who can't eat gluten, guy friends who want junk food while watching Saints games, my parents who keep kosher, and everyone in between and they've all been as obsessed as me.
Food is delicious! and they're happy to modify things to make them gluten free, which I very much appreciate!
This is a great brewery and kitchen, walk here often to eat the beers are matched only by their grub. You should check this place out of you have the ability and get a beer and a burger. The nachos are good, the boudin balls were dynamite.
Food was so filling and amazing! Staff very friendly. Will be coming back!
