Saw this on Groupon and was in NOLA had a great experience the food was anazing, great services, outside sitting is good but small. Only thing is the regular coffee extra strong. This place is amazing can't say enough good things about this place, use Groupon an 2 people can eat & drink for less than $20
Delicious food! Especially the Gluten Free waffles and Gluten Free king cake. They do not taste gluten free. Scrumptious. You must try it!
Very very good waffle.. had little bits pralines with caramel sauce and whip cream. Delicious! Could have been a little bigger but very good.
I agree with the other reviewers, it was somewhat expensive for a dressed up waffle, but I guess you get what you pay for. The waffles themselves were pretty good and they seemed to have a nice variety of toppings. One thing I didn't like so much were the people working there. They weren't too friendly and were rather dry when I told them it was my first time trying out their place and had some questions about the menu. I'll probably go back to try out some other flavors at some point.
A hidden gem! Small bar top interior with outdoor seating. Food was great! Ordered a croissant sandwich and loved the way they cooked their eggs and flavor of the soy sausage patty. Also got a fabulous waffle with powdered sugar and fresh fruit per request and was not disappointed at all. It had such a lovely presentation and everything was fresh! Will be returning to this place in the future!
delicious waffles, gluten free waffles are made in a dedicated waffle iron and nut free orders have a dedicated waffle iron as well! the entire establishment is kosher as well and offers vegan, gluten free, and nut free options alongside other regular/non dietary restriction options. staff was very friendly and the food came out quickly! would recommend!
Excellent place! In a quiet neighborhood setting, ABD they were open and busy as heck on Christmas Day! The service here is amazing, and they have seats out on the sidewalk and it’s amazing. Such an awesome selection of savory and sweet waffle dishes. I’ll be back to this place every time I come back to New Orleans!!!
Seems ok, with the small outside tables, cool waffle outside facade, people cooking in the window....
And I found, the food tastes...luscious.
That being said, maybe a customer service intervention might be needed.
There is a breakfast for 2 that "used to be" $20.99, that the server said went up to $22.99. It's 2 omelets of your choice, coffee, juice, a salad, a biscuit with garlic herbed butter.
Come to find out at the register, it's "actually $25.99."
Some menu's have a mark thru the old price, some don't.
Some table tents have $22.99.
My girl was paying and was surprised at the price jump from what the server quoted. When she brought up the disparity of prices, the cashier was unfazed... and said she didn't set the register prices, and couldn't do anything about it.
Not good customer relations.
THE FOOD:
We had a Mushroom and onion omelet and a Tuscan omelet. Both were very good, but especially the Tuscan.
The eggs were nicely done on both, the mushrooms were flavorful and onions were good too.
The Tuscan had very flavorful sun dried tomatoes and a creamy, tasty ricotta filling with just a touch of feta, and fresh basil. The flavor combination was wonderful.
The coffee, and juice were ok, and the biscuit and butter were great.
Overall, it's a nice little place, perfect for the little eclectic area it's in.
Management should make it clear what the prices are before the customer gets to the register.
Absolutely the best waffles we’ve ever had. This was our second time to make sure that we come here while in New Orleans and we will be back. Good coffee, excellent gluten free options - we had a mix of sweet and savory waffles, and a delicious side of grits. Sat outside and it was the perfect fall day - filtered light and falling leaves. After you eat, walk down to Blue Cypress books to digest your food!
amazing!! very kind staff, delicious waffles (we got the Heart Attack and St Charles stack and both were delicious), very good coffee and smoothies (we got strawberry banana). highly recommend!
Yummmmm!!! With a capital 👅
Waffles on Maple is such a fun little eatery in the middle of a college town. I follow them on Instagram and salivate every time the post a photo of their waffles and pizza and King Cake (best kosher king cake in town!). I came down on vacation and made sure to have Waffles on the iternary. Well priced, great portions and something for everyone. #localspot #treatyourself
Amazing waffles!! My wife has celiac so we came across town to get gluten free waffles (we can't find them anywhere where we live). This place exceeded expectations as the waffles were soft and bouncy. We got the sampler which comes with 4 great styles. The best was the spinach and artichoke. But you can't go wrong with anything here whether you want sweet or savory.
Quirky, funky place with very interesting waffle menu. Had the 'Hangover' and loved it. I never thought I'd like soy sausage, but it was delicious. Reminded me a bit of chorizo on this particular waffle. Really enjoyed Waffles on Maple.
This spot is a kosher restaurant (serves no meat) but it is delicious. I didn't even miss the meat because the waffles were so good. If your like me and is hesitant don't be. Order the sampler and a side of eggs. I promise you will enjoy. Eat with syrup or not -- it is delicious.
