The gator appetizer was amazing and our waiter was a delight ! Also the muffuletta was definitely satisfying
This place was great!! Walked in awesome live music , real New Orleans music at that!! Fun time was definitely had!!
We will be bac k again. The food was very good and plenty for the price. Service was good. We were a group of 10 people getting there by lunch time and we were served pretty quickly. The Shrimp Creole was very good. I'll be back here anytime in New Orleans.
Good food, nice people. Nice place to eat authentic creole food. We stopped in and had a great time. Food was great and people were friendly.
Loved it. The courses were fabulous and service was fantastic. We tell all of our friends how we savored each bite and encourage them to try it. We are looking forward to our next visit there. It will always be one of our first choice places to go.
Good place. We ate here a couple of times during our stay in New Orleans and the food is truly excellent. Portions are generous to say the least and the waitress service is great. A good place to take in a football game and enjoy good food. Will definitely be back when next in the crescent city!
Enjoyed the place!. Watched the tail end of the late games on a Sunday afternoon. Terrific atmosphere. I had the "voodoo brew" which was good ! Ordered the wings and the seafood platter. The food was very good . I thought it was a fun place to hang out.
Rip-off. Lousy food lousy service -- $7 for kids French toast that was literally just two pieces of bread with powdered sugar. Ordered the Louisiana omelette (supposed to have shrimp and crawfish) on recommendation of server, it came stone cold. Sent it back and got a ham omelette instead of the seafood omelette I ordered. At this point I'm too hungry to send it back a second time. The bloody Mary was fantastic til I got the bill, $10 for the most expensive drink I've ever had in NOLA. Overall damage was almost $40 for small portions, awful service. Then the girl got mad when I stiffed her for a tip. I got up and handed her 13 cents. Wish I'd read the reviews on Urbanspoon first. Hands down the worst, most expensive food I've ever had in Louisiana.
Treat yourself to the drink menu. I am going to go against the grain and say that I actually enjoyed my experience at this little dive. True, New Orleans is a bustling city with much to offer the culinary- savvy... but I found Corner Oyster Bar to be satisfactory enough. I was not expecting fine dining, and with those expectations, I received what I was wanting which was a large plate of deep- fried seafood.
My server was rough around the edges in all the right ways. Her crude attitude actually endeared my table to her, and she was very attentive to my party, joking about anything and everything.
I am going to go ahead and say that my favorite part of Corner Oyster's is the drink special menu. I found myself popping in several nights just to grab another Voodoo Juice or Frozen Lemonade. The staff was always friendly toward my guests and I would not hesitate to hit this bar up again when I am in the city.
Off night?. Must have been a off night reading these comments. Shrimp Creole was pretty good and spicy!
Food was okay but a bit spicy for my taste. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Probably will try again.
They have some good eggrolls southwest style...yum
I visited here on 11/29 and was immediately greeted by a pleasant gentleman . I ordered red beans and rice, which was a favorite of mine since I was young, My mom would not only cook this dinner on Mondays, but anytime she needed that break from the kitchen.
My mom passed away in 2003, and even though I know how to make it, I never felt it was as good as hers. The meal was delicious. The season was just right, and the rice was well cooked, As I sat there enjoying the meal, it brought back memories of me asking for my mom for seconds, and I smiled.
Thank you for a memorable meal.

Pub house style restaurant. Great taste of food. Smiling waiter and helpful for menu. Alligator was amazing on grill. Recommend place . Clean and hygiene rate 4🌟. Prices exceptional.
Me and my boyfriend are traveling from Arkansas to NOLA for the weekend and we decided that after hours of walking around the French Quarter to huddle down here to eat. We were the only ones inside, which for a Saturday night at 7 was pretty lucky. Our food and service came quick and ready. Our food was phenomenal. We decided on the New Orleans Sampler and man did we sample. The chicken and sausage gumbo was probably my favorite of all the dishes. The jumbalaya was the right amount of spicy(though I recommend adding the Lousiana's Pure Crystal Hot Sauce). The beans and the shrimp creole were also amazing, but we loved the gumbo and jumbalaya the most. Our waiter was also super helpful, where he even told us all the best local liquour stores haha! Loved it here!
Server / hostess was super friendly and took great care of us. The Mardi Gras pasta was AMAZING and so was the red beans and rice / gumbo combo (Gumbalaya). Will definitely make sure I stop here every time I come to NOLA.
Raw and grilled oysters, shrimp 🍤 jambalaya and air conditioning. Excellent New Orleans food. Walking the French Quarter with Flora Hoff . Life is all about memories.
good at all!!! i tried bloody mary for the first time and was a good experience with one of the most weird beverages… i liked it!
I've vacationed in NOLA several times, and the char-grilled oysters here are the absolute best. The restaurant doesn't look like much, but the location can't be beat. The staff is attentive and fun. The bartender, Emily, can make anything you want. The Catgory 5 hurricane helped me convince my husband to buy me cool street art from the vendors in Jackson Square.
James was awesome and oysters were like never before. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
James was working the room and so good at keeping up in service, sitting, and simply genuine.
Great place to grab some delicious, no fuss, French Quarter food. The employees were very friendly and the service was great! My Chargrilled oysters were the best I've ever had anywhere! And it's a great place to people watch along Jackson Square.
The food was decent. I wouldn't recommend the shrimp Po boy. The shrimp was somehow gritty. The dessert fries were awesome.
The wait was only about 15 minutes for 3 of us. It's a decent less crowded restaurant to duck into when the rain hits.
