The place was good. I recommend it. Good place to watch games on Sunday’s.
Food was delish! Crawfish 1 lb for 10.00, I do believe we got more than a pound. You get those out front, and order from the menu at the back counter. You also go to the bar for your drinks..nice laid back atmosphere that welcomed out of towners 😊
We jumped off the bus tour to have a quick lunch. Prices were great the food was amazing. Outside they had a crayfish boil going on that added to the great experience.
This is the place to go for fresh crawfish from January through June. I will definitely be back. The crawfish is being cooked right there on the sidewalk and you can smell it all over the neighborhood. They gave us a sample and it was large, fresh and so tasty. We bought the 3lb special for $25. It came with 2 pieces of potatoes and one piece of corn. $1 charge for each extra piece.
We also had the coldest beers here. There is a pool table there with lots of tvs and a bustling bar area. There were no servers inside however so prepare to get up and make frequent stops at the bar.
The Ruben and shrimp plate were good. My experience was disappointing though. You had to order your food at the counter and your drinks at the bar which was fine but could have been more clearly instructed. I had my mouth all set for crawfish but when I went to the counter to order, was told I had to go out front to order them. I went out front and no one was there. I found someone to ask and was told they quit serving crawfish at 7 (we got there at 730). There was nothing posted at the restaurant or online stating that. I asked about oysters and was told you had to go to the opposite corner of the restaurant/bar to order those but that the guy who does them wasn't there today. They had run out of Blue Moon beer. If not for the atmosphere, this would have been worth 2 maybe 3 stars. Tuesday is apparently trivia night and the fun atmosphere made me wish I was a regular. I think it would be a blast to go there weekly.
I wanted to take my friends to a local Southern place for crawfish, and you would be hard pressed to find anything better than Tracey's. This gem is frequented by folks in the area and well-known for its crawfish boil, po boys and other food. Great service and atmosphere too. I'd highly recommend it if you travel to NOLA.
We didn't get any food here. We came in after walking around the garden district. Lots of TVs and a lively atmosphere. Not as crowded as bars in the quarter. We were there on Saturday with college football on.
Just arrived in town last night. This was the closet place to us. I got a Po Boy and fries and I have to say it set the bar pretty high. Good service from the bartender and the cook. I had a piece of my friend's catfish and it was top notch also.
First time trying Crawfish and the boy in front taught us how to eat and also ga e a few to sample and try. That was very nice of him. We got the 1lb with corn. The crawfish were really good. A tad bit salty, but loved that it was spicy. Really enjoyed the Crawfish ! The corn was superb as well and not sweet as we thought it would be. Recommend this place if you want good Crawfish!
Stumbled on this place and loved the wings and sweet potato fries so much we made a detour and came back a couple days later. The chef at the back whips up simple tasty fresh pub fare with a smile. Prices are super reasonable and refreshing after spending days in the French quarter tourist traps. On your visit through Garden City district, make this a stop on magazine street.
