Diamond is a low-key neighborhood place that deserves a 3.5, but I gave them 4 stars. The deep fried artichokes appetizer, BBQ shrimp (ah, that sauce!), and fried chicken po-boy, all exceeded expectations. Even the host salads were above average, and packed w/ kale, field greens, and other fresh veggies.
Boyfriend and I came here for dinner the night before leaving on our vacation. I had the ribeye ($18) and he had the club sandwich with fries ($10). We shared both, and both were delicious. We did arrive early for dinner (5:15) so there really was no wait. Service was prompt considering the size of the place and the number of others in there (about 8). There is no doubt we could have gotten the same meal at the hotel but paid at least double the price. The ribeye is enough for two easily.
Absolutely loved the food. Great portions (compared to others) and pricing, not to mention great bloody Mary's. This place is well worth the visit, even if it's a walk.
The people were awesome and even went out of their way to get my husband a Birthday cupcake from another place. Can't say enough about this quaint establishment. It was wonderful!

Fantastic discovery. I found this place near my hotel while on conference. I am a big foodie and i am very very picky about quality and sevice. This place is a gem! The food was superb in every respect and the chef uses many local organic ingredients. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the portions generous, but not overly so. Perfect rare beef. The service was very professional and staff was friendly. I highly recommend this place and plan to return later this week and when i return on vacation. Oh, and the prices were very reasonable.
Great food, drinks, and atmosphere. I had never been to Meson 923 before, but the new menu is amazing. The scallops were the best I ever had, and they have a daily pork special that varies depending on what's available. The fried green beans make an excellent side to share. The desserts, including chocolate bread pudding and a wonderful cheesecake, were perfect. The cocktail list has some refreshing variety, and all the ones we tried were delicious. There's an upstairs and downstairs with the downstairs more lounge-y and the upstairs a more classic dining experience. Great atmosphere; we will definitely be going back.
Under new management. Place has a great menu and offers very attentive service. I absolutely recommend this place if going to dinner on a Friday night. Perfect location. Cocktail menu is perfect and the bartender is very skilled. Be sure to try the fried green tomatos and the ribeye. Do not pass this place up it is a great dining experience
Meson s peters under new management. Wow, great food and wonderful service. New chef and new management have got a winning combination of traditional creole/Cajun fare nuanced with an international gourmet flair. They also try to use the very best fresh local produce. Worth a try soon, because I see this place becoming very popular. We ate there during their 3rd week after opening and the food and service were outstanding.
Fun Dinner, great service. We were not familiar with their "pay what you feel about your meal and service at your own discretion" concept. The meal turned out great. More than we could eat. We tried seafood, shrimp and scallops. Great fresh baked hot breads. Great steaks and filets. Robin was a very cordial waitress and we enjoyed the evening. We paid accordingly and we will return.
Three Times and all Charmed!. I have been here three times and have had three amazing experiences. I lived in Nola and am in town a few times a month. I go to many restaurants but if you want a hip and sophisticated ambiance as well as very inventful and consistently yummy food, this is the place to go. First time I went with a local. The next two times I went with friends from out of town. Everyone is still talking about it. The first time I went I wanted to try everything on the menu and had three appetizers. Glad to have gone back to try other things. I have other friends who did the same thing and we all enjoyed our experience. I subsequently have had yummy entrees there too. I'm a sucker for soup and bread as well and both are consistently amazing.
Had one of the best meals of my life at Meson 923, it's a new restaurant in the warehouse district located at 923 S.Peters. Great ambiance on the second floor. Great bottle of Pinot Noir, hamaichi, sea scallops, filet that melted in my mouth with a Demi glaze to die for and then homemade cookies for desert. It's defiantly my new favorite restaurant.
An excellent place to get some good Louisiana food in a no fuss, relaxed enviornment. The Diamond Street Grill is centrally located and boasts a diverse menu that features all the food you're hoping to eat while in New Orleans. The chicken and sausage gumbo was delicious as were the red beans and rice and I must say that all the food coming out of the kitchen looked great and made me wish I was hungrier so I could try it all. The attention detail and quality of the food and drinks for the price you're paying is what really impressed me here. Well worth a stop if you're looking for a drink and a sandwich or if you want to stay a while and enjoy a very tasty lunch/dinner.
My daughter and I are locals and try a new restaurant monthly. This was my selection and I'm glad we did. Very friendly staff and the food is AWESOME. I had the Catfish Pontchartrain and a bowl of Crawfish and Crab bisque. My daughter had a Flamebroiled Hamburger on bun dress with fries. It is handicap accessible.
What a great little place! The food fabulous! Creole stew and The rib-eye steak WOW! The service amazing! Molly and Jaelyn have it down pat when it comes to customer service. A must stop when in NOLA ⚜!
Just got in from Florida and our hotel concierge told us to check this place out, so we did.
Phenomenal food & needless to say we are stuffed!! The hot sausage po boy is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. What a great way to start the vacation!! The French fires are beer battered and crispy and such a great addition to the po boy.
Great, small, friendly place for quick food. Definitely stop in if you’re hungry!
You really can't beat any place with $3 import beers. Being in NOLA we had to get our gumbo fix and we decided to check out Diamond Street.
We ordered both of the gumbos and they were extremely different in taste but phenomenal.
The serving size was more than enough to fill you up.
In addition to the yummy gumbo and extremely affordable drinks, the staff is very warm and inviting. I am under the impression it is a family ran business and I'm without a doubt a fan!

Other than an initial snafu with the ordering, which was promptly taken care of by the waitress, everything was amazing. The food was hot and fresh, and came out quickly.
You can't go wrong here. The food, the price, the service. A true gem! This should be on everyone's list while visiting (or living) in NOLA
The Corporation bar next door recommend we eat here as they were done cooking for the day. The food and service was perfect. We had a great time.

The steak was delicious. Huge and enough to share. The drinks and sides are good too. Not expensive at all.
