The word for this restaurant concept is DETAIL. From the courteous security guard outside, to the cuisine, to the servers, to the atmosphere, to the tableware and even to the size of the lemon for iced tea, every aspect is flawless and polished. The open kitchen is gleaming with tuned up efficiency. I have been a patron for decades. You will become one too!
What a spectacular experience! A friendly doorman immediately greeted us. Upon check-in, we were promptly ushered to our table and asked for our drink order! Our waitress came to the table shortly after that to introduce herself and see if we were ready for an appetizer. Our drinks arrived soon after that.🍸🍷We ordered the shrimp cocktail; the shrimp were large, delicious, and adequately deveined, followed by the ahi tuna salad, which was out of this world. The tuna was so fresh, lightly seared, and tasted like someone had just caught it that day. My date ordered the spare ribs and ate the entire rack, and I opted for the NY strip that was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and seared with a salt and pepper crust.
My ONLY complaint is that they do not serve espresso martinis. A restaurant of this caliber is missing the mark here. I was extremely disappointed as it is my preferred after-dinner cocktail. Especially after eating a steak. 🥩

Years ago, when i was very young, there were Houston's in the DC Metro area. Going back as an adult, in New Orleans, I was so pleased to see it lived up to my memories.
I enjoyed Houston's twice during my quick get away to NOLA
The lemon drops are amazing, hate they didn't have oysters yet always a hit is smoked salmon, my fave, 😋 & tried red beans & rice which was very good too!

We come to New Orleans a few times a year. Tried Hustons for the first time this trip. So impressed with the food, service and vibe that we came back twice that week! Demetrius, Daisy, and Jeremy were outstanding staff and took great care of us. The jazz trio that plays is amazing! The food was delicious and expertly prepared. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy; refined and relaxed. We loved it! We will be back!

Great atmosphere - highly advise to book ahead. The margaritas are awesome - so good that I had 3 of them. Classy joint and the staff are wonderful. Very hospitable to international visitors. Young guy working behind the bar on 3/9 evening was a great bartender.
You can hear live jazz music. Food was really good (huge portion), and the best margarita in the world according to my husband 👍kind staffs. Highly recommend to visit there if you are in New Orleans. Reservation recommended
Established restaurant in NOLA. Great service. Good food. Convenient location. Parking in rear of restaurant. Ahi Tuna salad is good. Big portions for comfort food. This place will get busy so get a reservation or come off peak times. Peter was our server this day and he did a great job. Famous French Dip is one of the best I’ve ever had.
My husband and I were in town for our 1 year anniversary. We ended up here last minute not knowing what kind of food they serviced or anything. The place was amazing. Our server, Andrew, was so nice and knew the menu well. After spending the weekend trying new foods, we both ordered burgers. They were the best burgers we had in a long time. When Andrew found out it was our anniversary, he brought our desert to our table with lit candles.
