A friend recommended this restaurant and we had a wonderful dining experience. Tried a few of the popular dishes and everything tasted amazing. Our server, Kendrick, was awesome and attentive. Service was great and food came out fairly quick.

A friend of mine worked here many years ago and recommended it when I told him I was visiting New Orleans this past October. It was my first dinner in the city. The atmosphere and service was top notch. Tables are dressed up very classy. It was busy but I was lucky and got a small table right away. From all of the food I saw delivered to other tables, it all looked good, except for a lady at the adjacent table dipping her tenderloin steak in ketchup (yeah, seriously, but to each their own I suppose). I ordered the BBQ shrimp at my friend's suggestion and it was very tasty - albeit messy. My server came up behind me before they brought the food and put a huge bib on me - then I really knew what I was in for! Do not wear white or light colored clothes and order this at the restaurant - and you might not want to wear white and sit near anyone ordering it either because the sauce can fly when you start tearing the shells off. By the way, the shrimp are very large and do come whole, so if you're squeamish about eyes and antennae, maybe something else is a better choice. It's a fantastic treat and experience. It's not a super thick BBQ sauce like found with smoked meats, but one you dip bread into after you finish the shrimp. Servers were very friendly. I went back a day or two later for lunch and ate at the bar - this time I got the pasta jambalaya. I found this to be a tasty and filling lunch. I don't really believe you can go wrong at Mr. B's.

Don’t come to New Orleans without making it to dinner at Mr. B’s Bistro. It’s a local favorite. Came highly recommended from local friends and they did not let me down…. everything about the place is nice. Business-Casual to Semi-Formal dinner wear will make sure you’re comfy with the crowd that dines here. Full Bar with a nice selection of spirits. The duck quarter was amazing as well as the Bread Pudding!! Service is attentive and warm. Don’t regret your trip… forgetting to stop by is a NO NO for NOLA Trips. I had a wonderful time enjoying the two entrees I got to try and will be back. I am allergic to shellfish and they were very professional about my health too !

Had seafood gumbo (it was ok) and duck confet egg rolls (different but tasty). My own recipe for Creole gumbo is much better. I got bread pudding with bourbon sauce for dessert and it was the bomb! I savored every bite! Service was top notch. Very attentive and made me feel special. Jazz band was barely audible...singer sang quietly and music wasn't great.

My wife and I with our guest had a delightful lunch experience at Mr. B's New Orleans. If you have read other reviews I have posted, you might have noticed that I demand nothing below, but an exceptional dining experience, and so should you. Everything from ambiance to cuisine service and it's well dressed clientele. To start with, we had their famous $1.50 Bloody Mary's. For lunch, we enjoyed a Bacon wrapped Shrimp and Grits as well as Jumbo Lump Crab cakes and fried Oysters. For dessert we had a lovely Bread Pudding and a Profiteroles with a chocolate sauce, and lastly, a Cafe Lattes. A great experience I would expect, and so should you!!!

Food was delicious. So many good sounding items, it is hard to make a decision. Our server Steven was friendly and knowledgeable and offered great suggestions. Everything was delicious. Fried oysters was a great starter. It gets busy for dinner service, recommend you make a reservation. We plan on going back try some more items off their menu.

When you are in New Orleans you must visit Mr. B’s Bistro for their famous BBQ Shrimp. It’s not the bbq shrimp that you might have had before. The giant shrimps come in a delicious brownish red sauce where you will want to mop up with the French bread they serve it with. The shrimps come with shells and heads so get ready to get messy. Make sure you’re not wearing white! This place is iconic.

I love this place and is one of my favorites when I visit New Orleans. Terance was amazing and assisted me with the best dishes to try. The BBQ shrimp, duck spring rolls, pork chop and all the desserts are amazing. Mark is one of the best chefs ever!!! Stephen, the management, and other staff are the best!!!

Amazing as alway. This place is a must stop every trip. The best BBQ shrimp I have had. The gumbo is excellent, and I tried the bacon shrimp and grits for the first time it was real and spectacular.

Mr. B's always delivers! The warm and cozy atmosphere is so inviting. Especially on a chilly day as today. Stephen, Steven, and Henry took great care of us. I had the pecan crusted Trout. I wish there had been some Pecans on top and a bit more sauce. They brought some sauce Pronto, and it was wonderful. The squash and green beans were excellent as well. I had the Chai Tea Cheesecake for dessert. So delicious. It being the holiday season, the tables were festooned with jingle bells and green ribbons. The Sisters Lunch was a wonderful experience at Mr. B's.
