Oldest Candy shop in New Orleans. They are known for their pralines and salt water raft. What a fun store for you and your kids ( and eventually, your dentist!) there are so many candies and styles to choose from and it is an absolute blast of color and fun atmosphere. Handmade chocolate and “Mississippi mud’. A fun real Nola experience!
This was our final stop on the Tastebud Walking Tour. We sampled their praline which was pretty good and not as sweet as some can be. It would be a shame if you didn't try some of their other delectable delights! I wish I tried more of their candies and chocolates, as we loved their chocolate covered Oreos, Mississippi Mud and Holiday Peppermint Candy!!! They have a lot to offer in such a small shop! Looking for a cookbook? They have that too!
I try to stop in to Laura’s on Chartres Street every other week. It would be more if my waist could afford it. A huge variety of delicious confections, all delicious. Most things are available in Milk, dark or white chocolate. À chocolate lovers dream.
So many choices at Laura's Candies. Stopped in during our tromp through the French Quarter. Ended up taking home a collection of truffles and caramels. Friendly service. Purchase by-the-pound, so just pick out which decadent delights call to you and enjoy.
We stopped while walking around New Orleans. We got a variety of chocolates and some pralines. Everything was delicious, and the woman behind the counter was incredibly kind
Marvelous confectionaire store in the heart of the French Quarter. Affectionately known as the "Oldest Candy Store in New Orleans." They take great pride in their chocolates & pralines.
Walked in today looking for sweet tasting pecans. I didn't know what the proper name is for them, but I found them- Praline Pecans- and they are delicious. We also tried the white chocolate turtles, as well as, the milk chocolate one - thumbs up for both. I haven't tried my chocolate Graham Crackers yet, but I am sure they are delicious too. The lady who helped us was very sweet and pleasant. Excellent customer service!
Variety of praline recipes used. We bought a box of Mississippi Mud and a bag of "day old" pralines. Lovely shop on the main drag near the Cathedral. Great selection of candies of all types. Watch pralines being made from scratch.
Smaller store but excellent service the lady there was super sweet she let us try everything before we decided on buying stuff. Salt water taffy is sooooo amazing and is sold by pound. Chocolate candies are delicious as well. Amazing selection. There are little tasting areas for almost all the chocolates. They have great gift options and super cute little eclectic items. I tried the healthy candy made with acai and dark chocolate and ended up buying some. It was delicious definitely try it the owner said she thought it up and ended up putting it out and it became super popular. I can definitely see why. Must try item. Their English toffee is also one of my favorite items.
Laura is a lovely woman with a lovely candy shop. My partner and I stopped by to grab some pralines before calling it a day which are deliciously rich. Great experience!
