They make a cafeteria line into a culinary work of art. Delicious food that is good for you. The layout of the place is breaks the mold for cafeterias -- very stylish -- except at the evening time of the day it was hard to sit looking out the windows because of the glare -- I had to slide around to the other side of the table.
First time at lubys and it was good.. Mac and cheese could have been better.. And the chicken fried steak could have been more hot.. But overall it was good and the people were nice.. The prices were fair and i enjoyed my experience..
Food was good but not hot. Good service. Nobody cleaning tables on half the restaurant. Outdoor seating available.
Surprisingly good actually. My first time here, and I was pleasantly surprised.
I really enjoy home cooking sometimes. The fish, fried it baked hasn't changed in flavor in over the forty years I've been going there. The staff is always so nice and helpful. Oh, and go ahead and enjoy the best desserts! Yummy
Even though the line can get very long, Luby's always has delicious fare waiting for you at the end. From salad to dessert wonderful tastes are there for the asking. The staff may be bombarded by customers, but your choices are on their minds. They don't just spoon your dishes onto a plate, they place them, making an appealling presentation. I can't think of one con from my visit today.
Stopped here while visiting for a short time. The food and service were exceptional. The building was spotless and looked new, inside and out. For a full size meal the prices were very reasonable too. Highly reccomend!
Ok I have to admit this surprised me. As a child I remember always going to Lubys in the mal but this was the first time I ate at this new one. Actually it's the first time in years iv even been to Lubys and I admit it's just as good if not even better. The taste from my favorite dish Country Fried Steak with sawmill gravy (white gravy),the one I always choose as a child,brought me back to when my grandparents were still alive and we would come here every weekend. Im so glad I came back and you can be sure I'll be returning again very soon.
Clean restaurant, fresh food on varied menu, and prompt helpful staff. Only suggestion today is to ladle salad dressing onto side salads. Pouring out of large container is messy and too abundant.
For cafeteria style dining the food was very good. When you go in look for "Amber" she'll steer you rite with your choices. And she has the attitude to make everyone feel good.
