Beautiful gardens and grounds. Easily walkable for most people as it’s not too large. Plenty of benches to sit and take in a view. The Cafe food is delicious. The mansion is stunning and the museum quality artwork is beautiful. Everyone who works there is polite and helpful. We visited during the fall festivities and the gardens were still filled with color and they have beautiful pumpkin and fall displays.
Mansion was beautiful to walk around and interesting inside. Most of the rooms, you will not see or get close to. All the artwork displayed, I felt, was more important than the mansion's history, which is amazing. The grounds are nicely kept and worth the time to spend a slow afternoon admiring.

Wow, what an absolutely beautifully preserved/curated space…My gf & I came here expecting to be in & out in about an hour…we were here for 3-4 & gladly so! The grounds were vast & expansive. There was so much greenery & pops of color with various plants/flowers. Every single detail is so scenic & breathtaking. You have the option to tour the mansion…DO IT! It’s such a beautiful house & there’s LOTS of rich history & very kind/knowledgeable staff that are more than happy to tell you cool factoids about the grounds, the family that lived there & the art that remains/rotates. This was easily one of the biggest highlights of my first trip to Nashville! 10/10 experience & the gift shop is amazing as well!
We love the walking trails in the evenings and went to see the light display. There was love music that could be heard throughout the park. What a terrific setting! The drink selection was disappointing and we didn't like that it was card only. No coffee or hot chocolate to be found. Hopefully, that will change with the cooler weather.
Visited in the evening to see the last night of the Bruce Munro light exhibit. It was fantastical! If I lived in this area I would become a member and visit frequently. These are beautiful gardens surrounding a majestic historical mansion. So much to see. I hope to come back in the spring or summer.
Very nice gardens! Cool train section that both kids and adults will enjoy. The mansion was neat as well. Didn't love the self guided audio tour just because the talking was slow and I am someone who likes to go at a quicker pace. Very nice property and well maintained
We enjoyed the pumpkin houses, the tour inside the mansion, and how nice the staff are. They gave us a golf cart ride to accommodate the seniors in our group. We will be back to explore the Japanese garden next time. They also have a wonderful selection of items in the Gift Shop.
Incredible- amazing- wonderful in every way. The gardens are magnificent- and currently beautifully decorated for fall. We visited at night and saw the Bruce Munro installation which was breathtaking. I recommend visiting at night as well as in the day- it is as if visiting two different gardens altogether. The gardens were well maintained and lush and full. There are sculptures throughout the gardens and a James Turrell Skyspace. So much to see and do and then there is the house itself/gallery.
Beautiful place. It does seem like it's important to visit in the evening to see all of the light sculpture installations turned on. I really enjoyed the artwork in the mansion.
Perhaps one of THE BEST gardens I've ever seen. Rivals those in Europe! So much for children to do in their garden and quite the learning experience for them. Each season is like viewing a new garden. A MUST SEE in Nashville❤️
