We stopped at this fabulous place hoping for authentic southern barbeque, and we weren't dissapointed. We had brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and a catfish sandwich. Everything was outstanding! Full of flavor - absolutely delicious! Smoked cabbage, beans and cornbread were the perfect compliment. Thank you! Wish we lived closer!! Highly recommend!

Great BBQ with great sides. The ribs were tender and packed with flavor. An impressive smoke ring is almost to the bone imparting the perfect amount of smoke flavor which paired well with their spices. I opted for smoked cabbage for one of my sides. It was amazing seasoned well and amazing paring for my meal. Staff was friendly and attentive. Great all around experience.
I'm from FL. I have never had ribs this good anywhere in FL. These ribs probably stand above any that I have had anywhere. Good bark on the ribs and the flavor of it....real good, very tasty. Also as good as they are they sit on your stomach well. I may have had others close to as good but something in the seasoning when combined with heavy smoke most times don't sit well, but G'z ribs are everything wrapped up into one package.

Very friendly experience. A super casual dining place, there were some men playing chess. My boyfriend says they made him the best slab of ribs he's ever had and the brisket sandwich was pretty delicious too.
Man.... forget those big BBQ places in town.... as a Texan and former BBQ Restaurant owner.... I can tell you this is the Best Brisket and sausage in town.... Ribs were very good as well..... the Pulled pork sandwich with the slaw was outstanding!!! Come here for the real deal!!! Don't waste your time with those other places!!!! My spot when i come back to Nashville!!!
Already heard it was one of the best BBQ joints in Nashville so decided to check it out. I was involved in an unfortunate car accident in front of the place on a cold and rainy night. The owner offered to make me a free meal for my trouble, and it truly was the best BBQ I've ever had! Great service, better food. Don't be fooled by the size of this place, it may be small but big things come in small packages! I'd definitely go there again.
Now this is some southern style BBQ! We stopped in for lunch and I got a shoulder plate. Included was a pile of BBQ with baked beans and hand cut french fries. I got all that and a drink for less than 10 bucks! Amazing how good this food tastes for such an affordable price. I will definitely be back... You the man G'z!
Forget all the other BBQ joints in Nashville. These guys are the bottom line absolute BEST. Chris (The owner) is one of the most friendly men in town and cooks the most incredible bbq in the state. Service is always on point, establishment is always clean. Family friendly as well. I would recommend them over any other place in Nashville for real and authentic Barbecue.
So the good - food is top notch, service is quick, prices are reasonable. Locally run, very friendly folks, but therein is also the not so good at times, as in they run out core items at inopportune times, like when I have a serious craving for them! The plates always come with the obligatory slice of white bread, which I could do without. The strong point here really is the meat, the side are good but nothing to rave about. Still something of a hidden gem in East Nashville.
Amazing BBQ. Amazing sides. Amazing staff. Overall an amazing experience. Easy 5 stars!!
