A quaint and charmingly appointed find in a rather awkward location (the second floor of Grace's Plaza in Green Hills, near the County Clerk's Office), this Jamaican restaurant is a great find!
I was immediately greeted by the co-owner and chef, who seemed delighted to see us. He seated us and the server took our drink order and brought beignets. I ordered the goat curry, which came on a large plate with rice, plantains, and cabbage/carrots. The food was excellent! I ordered mine spicy, and it came spicy, but not excruciating... It had kick but was totally edible.
I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. Due to their location, I feel not many people know they're there... and I want them to stay around! Their food is wonderful! Please get out and give it a try!
My wife and I celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary here. It was our first time dining here. We normally would not try something new on special occasions, sticking to tried and true fare. But we heard such great things about The Cafe that we decided to take a chance. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing. It's our new favorite restaurant!
A wonderful surprise! Upstairs at Graces Plaze there is the best Jamaican restaurant I have ever found. Inexpensive Caribbean food in simple but elegant surroundings. Friendly and prompt service and the best curry goat I have ever had outside of home cooked.
Run dont walk because the location is odd and we need these people.
They do not serve alcohol, but you can brown bag it.
Enter by walking through the bank and up the stairs or elevator and stairs on the south end of the building.
This place was simply amazing! From the ambiance to the food I was pleasantly impressed. The food (I had the curry goat) was savory and the service was satisfactory. Our server was fully knowledgeable on the menu and gave great recommendations on what we should order. Every time I'm in Nashville I'll be sure to stop here to eat!
The food was excellent and the service was top notch. They were friendly, honest in the taste of their food, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. We had red snapper and curry chicken but we will be back for their most popular curry goat.
So so so delicious. We went for the oxtail, goat curry, and the short rib. Everything was tender and tasty. I'll be back no doubt.
Also I'm literally laughing my @ss off at the reviewer who complained about the cheeseburger. It's a Jamaican restaurant... Go to McDonald's if you want a cheeseburger.
Would not have found it, if my colleague had not point it out to me. Great ambiance with good food: the Jerky was pretty tasty and they had a very nice home-made kind of lemonade (do not remember exactly what it was). The owners are very friendly, so it is definitely a nice place to go to.
What a pleasant surprise!! Went to get my car sticker and had the most delightful lunch! Well, kept secret and it won't be secret long!! Food was great and service was too!
Great authentic Jamaican food. The spicy is pretty hot. We will be back for sure.
